I don’t see the issue myself. Funimation is simul-dubbing a lot of stuff lately so I don’t notice it that often and when I do if I like subs then I’m fine as it’s often already somewhere like Crunchyroll subtitled so if it has taken a long time 9/10 I’ve already seen it subbed. So…I dunno feels like a bonus to re-watch it dubbed later. Yeah I love to hear my native tongue but I also love subs so I deal. Sometimes they release a few episodes to entice people and show what the voice acting is like such as I think they posted 3 dubbed episodes of the Morose Monokean prior to it being released on BD/DVD. That I did get impatient for because it had been out for a while subbed but I hadn’t noticed it so when I saw it on Funimation I was hooked. The dubbing sounded great so I couldn’t wait for the release but then I bought it before finishing even half of it online lol. They obviously think it’s a money issue to place it out early and as it’s being dubbed late perhaps they just want to release it all at once online rather than in installments so they do so when the physical format is released. Honestly the only thing that bums me out as a Funimation subscriber is that it is my only paid streaming service as I don’t have a lot of cash and I wish for a similar fee with got both Funimation & Crunchyroll as the companies work together. Maybe they could raise the fee slightly but definitely not the current price for both as I would love to have Crunchyroll premium yet can’t bring myself to pay that much when it’s not as if there’s new anime every night of the week.

I would love to see Funimation dub KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! as they have some of the best voice actors when it comes to English dubs. I enjoy subs and dubs though honestly unless I see evidence a show will never be dubbed I don’t buy it subbed because typically if you can watch both on a dubbed disc. Some of my favorite sub only anime I just bought are ironically Funimation owned and likely will never be dubbed. If they are…I’ll double dip lol. Anyway KonoSuba is super popular so it’s hard to imagine it won’t be dubbed and due to their partnership with Crunchyroll I figure Funimation will likely dub the show. Still, despite the popularity a good bit of time has past with nobody dubbing it so far.
While Funimation already owns the license to the following I would love to see them release them in physical HD. This isn't what this thread is for but felt like a good as place as any to mention it. I know it’s not cheap, I know these are niche anime, and I know that dubbing is definitely out because...low return on investment plus maybe VA just don't want the role lol.
- Betrayal Knows My Name (DVD/SD release only)
- Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - The World's Greatest First Love (DVD/SD release only)
Junjo Romantica 3 (confuses me because Funimation supposedly has the rights for internet streaming while Rightstuff which released the previous seasons on disc still have the license according to what I've read online. I didn't know selling on platforms like iTunes was considered streaming as Funimation sells it digitally in HD just not physically period let alone in HD. It's streamed via Crunchyroll but it's not as if Funimation streams anything remotely like this unless you count Yuri on Ice lol.)
Funimation also owns the rights to Trigun and it is much less of a niche anime. Many would kill for an HD release of this series especially as they did release the movie in HD. I know remastering older anime is not cheap but I think it would sell well.
