Crossing lines

  • Lately, I now think Anita Sarkeesian has crossed another line. In her new "Lingere is not Armor" video, she completely and utterly shits all over sexual empowerment. I'll display a video down below explaining how despicable her words were here.

Sarkeesian was born in Canada and grew up near Toronto. Her parents are Armenians from Iraq who emigrated to Canada in the 1970s.

Canada: That is all to be said on the matter…

  • well she's got the money to make all those videos, so there we go

I thought her Iraqian heritage was just what she claimed was a fake story made about her. Though, it could explain why her beliefs are the way they are. These videos down below are from a guy named Zarathustra's Serpent who explains how Anita's behavior comes into fluition in these videos.

  • Remember me saying that Anita Sarkeesian shits all over sexual empowerment? Well, an apologist (looking at you, Looneygamemaster) would argue that she's just saying that she doesn't find her sexuality empowering. Well, here's the kicker: it's one thing for her to say that she doesn't find her sexuality empowering. It's another for her to say that any woman that does find her sexuality empowering is just deluded. And Anita is saying the latter, not the former.

And then there's the fact that she spat on "choice feminism" where it's believed that women feel empowered by what they choose for themselves. Choice feminism posits that each individual woman determines what is empowering for herself. Which sounds good on the surface, but this concept risks obscuring the bigger picture and larger fundamental goals of the movement. The fact of the matter is that some of the choices have ramifications beyond ourselves and reinforce harmful patriarchal ideas about women as a group and how women"s bodies in our wider shared culture.

In other words, what she"s saying right here is that women shouldn"t be allowed to make their own choices and third-wave feminists should make their choices for them for the greater good. So, everything the feminist movement has stood against, it is now turning into. There"s even a person on Twitter who said, Third wave feminism is the patriarchy. It infantilizes and manipulates women. GamerGate might as well be the fourth wave.

It's funny… and sad... how while second wave feminism fought to establish sexual positivity, third-wave feminism is fighting to demolish it. Anita is an anit-feminist feminist. Ironically, that's what she and her ilk called Christina Hoff Sommers.

In addition, she shat all over the SlutWalk, a movement meant to re-enforce sex-positive feminism.
