Another anime that looks really interesting airing this Summer 2016 Simulcast Season is called ReLIFE. ReLIFE is based on "an ongoing Japanese fantasy, science-fiction drama seinen web manga series, written and illustrated by Yayoiso." The web comic began in 2013, and currently has five volumes. Check out the preview trailers below:
The manga's story revolves around Arata Kaizaki, an unemployed, single 27-year-old who has just been cut off from his parents' financial support. Unable to find a job due to his leaving his previous employer within three months, he is stuck. One night after drinking with a high school friend, Arata meets RyÅ Yoake, a man who offers Arata pills to turn him back into a 17-year old so he can redo his life. After agreeing to the experiment, Arata joins a high school class, and meets Chizuru Hishiro, a socially awkward silent beauty who yearns to have friends. Through connecting with her and other classmates, Arata must find what he lacks to live a happy life in the real world within a one-year time limit.
"Tomo Kosaka (episode animation director for Giant Killing, Yowamushi Pedal) is directing the anime, and Kazuho Hyodo (Himegoto, Wanna Be the Strongest in the World, Big Windup!) and Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Princess Tutu, Big Windup!) are in charge of the series scripts. Junko Yamanaka (Kamisama Kiss, Servamp) is adapting Yayoiso's character designs for animation. TMS Entertainment is producing the adaptation, and the 'ReLIFE Kenkyūjo' (Laboratory) is the production committee. PENGUIN RESEARCH will perform the opening theme song 'Button,' while 12 different artists will play a new ending song for each episode. The staff is aiming for songs that the character Kaizaki could have listened to on an MD during his high school days in the late 1990s and early 2000s."
ReLIFE seems like it will be a lot of fun. The premise sounds fresh, and I think this one will be a stand-out among the other anime airing this Summer 2016 Simulcast Season.
ReLIFE premieres on July 1 at 11 a.m., and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll. The web manga is also available on Crunchyroll.
Character profiles were recently debuted on "the streamed Niconico Live program for the television anime of Yayoiso's ReLIFE," depicting the main cast:

In addition to the main cast, the program also revealed character profiles for the school's faculty:
The infirmary nurse and Akira Inukai's big sister. She is always watching over the students.
A physical education teacher who heads the boys' volleyball team. Unlike the girls' volleyball team, the boys' team is weak.
A physical education teacher and the homeroom teacher for Kaizaki and the rest of Class 3-3. She heads the girls' volleyball team.
