  • No way! A new season of Samurai Jack is coming out this year to be aired on Adult Swim! This is absolutely nuts dude!

    Check out this teaser trailer:

  • It's a reboot, not a new season. Still hyped though, I loved Samurai Jack.

  • Are you sure? It wouldn't really make sense for it to be a reboot given the original never had an ending.

But yeah me too, it was such a good show.

  • i thought i heard it was gonna be new, theres quotes from the creator about finishing the story. I would also think it would be a continuation since there was a new comic about the story

  • YEs finally

  • Spaceman Hardy, would you mind moving this over to animation for me, please?

  • Absolutely. :)

Know this is late and all, but they confirmed that it's a continuation and NOT a reboot already.

That's awesome! I think that the story deserves a good ending. I am glad that it is going to be on Adult Swim too, maybe even Toonami. My only thought is towards who they will get to play Aku, as the voice actor who played him passed away quite a number of years back. Here is his page on Wikipedia (Mako Iwamatsu - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mako_Iwamatsu). His voice is so unique, that it's hard to imagine someone coming close to his skill.

A character voiced by Mako in Avatar: The Last Airbender was Iroh, and Mako passed away near the end of recording Book 2. Eventually, the character was played by Greg Baldwin who actually did a fairly decent job at recreating the voice. I'd say he's probably the best choice for recasting for Aku.

Wait you did not know this? This is been new for month now that it was going be a Season 4/continuation to the show due to the fact that could not get a live a action movie out of it… So the creator was like well let do one more season too finish the story...

Greg did VERY well at recreated as Mako voices as Iroh… I REALLY though it was Mako though I did not at the time when show still going on that he had die... But as for him being Aku for Mako will depend on CN/A.Swim you have remember Avatar cast was done by Nick this is a different Network... And Iroh voices and Aku kind of different tone so he would have be more higher pits then Greg was when he took over for Iroh for Mako...

Yeah, that is a good point. It will be interesting to see if they use him for Aku. Either way, it is going to be awesome! Do you know if it will run on Toonami even though it isn't anime?
