  • Sankarea has episode 13, unless the shop website listing is incorrect and they also removed it from the uncensored release after they included it in the broadcast release

  • @Riles:

Sankarea has episode 13, unless the shop website listing is incorrect and they also removed it from the uncensored release after they included it in the broadcast release

The FUNimation shop only lists episodes 1-12:

  • 325 minutes would indicate 13 episodes, which is also the runtime for the broadcast version

  • @Riles:

325 minutes would indicate 13 episodes, which is also the runtime for the broadcast version

The shop still only lists episodes 1-12. Until the shop changes it's information or the set is indeed confirmed to include episode 13, the entry shall remain unchanged.

  • For Attack on Titan you can add the OVAs to the list as not being licensed.

  • There was another 30 minute Picture Drama special for Code Geass that was released with the Kiseki no Birthday DVD/Bluray. But that was like a concert/event DVD (if I remember correctly) with the Picture Drama added so I don't think it would count would it?

I find it sad most times the OVAs get overlooked even if they are just fanservice or the typical hotsprings episodes

  • Updated the list with new info for Code Geass, Hellsing: Ultimate, and Space Dandy.

  • Jeez. Conan fans better pick up the other Case Closed movies before the reach the secondhand prices of the first two.

Also, Funimation has yet to licence Yu Yu Hakusho's feature-length movie, Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist Report, though it was put out by Central Park Media back in the day.

  • ^ Poltergeist Report doesn't really count because even though it's now out of print, it was officially licensed and released, and is still available if you know where to look.

EDIT: There is, however, a Yu Yu Hakusho picture drama that was never released. I'll add that to the list.

EDIT 2: Also added the R2 picture dramas to the laundry list of things missing from Code Geass.

Also, not going to add it yet until it's confirmed, but according to the listing at the FUNimation shop, the D-Frag! release might not include the OVA. We'll have to wait and see once it's officially released.

EDIT 3: Updated again with info on Steins;Gate and Negima!.

  • A bit of a request here, folks: I want to add both OOP non-anime and live-action titles to the list, but there are just SOOOO MANY titles that FUNimation used to act as the distributor for, and there's not one easy and reliable source that lists them all.

So if any of you can help out and list some non-anime and/or live-action titles that FUNimation - or by extension Giant Ape Media - once distributed, I'd greatly appreciate it. Note that I am NOT including any titles from Echo Light in this list because fartknockers.

  • None of the Fairy Tail OVA's have been released. In addition, the second Fairy tail anime series (episodes 176 onwards) has yet to be licensed for a home video release.

  • i'm pretty sure Phantom - The Animation is out of print. It was 3 episodes ova series and was alternate storytelling of the first act of phantom requiem for the phantom. It was released in North America in 2006 by AnimeWorks (Media Blasters)

  • @AutoOps: Thanks for the tip!! Added to the database. ^_^

@Zzdog: Technically doesn't count because it wasn't released by FUNimation proper, but thanks for the info nonetheless. :)

  • Updated with info on Ben-To.

EDIT: Just received word that Blade of the Phantom Master has been de-listed from RightStuf and it's page has been removed from, making it officially out of print.

EDIT 2: The Sankarea listing on FUNimation's shop has been corrected; the collection includes OVA episode 13 after all. Episodes 00 and 14 are still missing, however.

  • Updated info on Sgt. Frog and Toriko.

  • Updated info on The Galaxy Railways.

  • Updated info on Case Closed/Lupin the 3rd and Shin-Chan.

  • UPDATE: It appears that Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa and Dragon Ball Z: Rock the Dragon have been de-listed from RightStuf, and they are no longer listed on FUNimation's shop.

Both the Rock the Dragon set and Shamballa bluray have been completley removed from RightStuf, while the Shamballa DVD currently has a counter of only 33 copies left:

The film is also still available for streaming here on

I'm currently trying to find out from FUNimation's representatives if the title is truly going OOP, or if there is the possibility of a re-release in the future.

  • O_o I don't especially like Shamballa, but I have a very VERY hard time imagining Funi letting anything FMA go OOP so that's definitely a point of curiosity. Regardless of the situation, already have the DVD anyway.
