Will we see some of the older Yatterman shows get licensed?
I ask since I have started becoming interested in them after I started watching this show. Or would it be considered to late to license them?
So far, the only official Yatterman title that has been licensed for the US is the 2009 live-action film, which you can buy here: http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/bzj-G4NoiZA8lQZzGu/browse/item/98872/4/0/0
There's also the Time Bokan OVA, which isn't really a Yatterman series, but stars the Dorombo gang along with several other famous Tatsunoko characters. You can pick it up here: http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/bzj-G4NoiZA8lQZzGu/browse/item/100254/4/0/0
Anime Sols licensed the original Yatterman series for free online streaming, but because it failed to reach its funding, only the first 17 episodes are available. Due to the process in which Anime Sols works, this means that unfortunately no physical release of the first series is planned. You can watch the first 17 episodes here: http://animesols.com/series/10
The original show's probably way too old. As it is, you can watch Yatterman on animesols.com
Sentai does have a pact with Tatsunoko Productions, but I douibt this is in their ballpark.
While I have noticed that Animesols has Yatterman licensed, it looks as though they will possibly drop the license. if that does happen, is there a chance of Funimation picking it up? They've done such a thing for other shows like One Piece. At least the 2008 remake of yatterman.
