Edge of Tomorrow
I just saw Edge of Tomorrow which is based on the Viz light novel All You Need Is Kill. I thought it was pretty good and if you're an anime fan, certain things pop out at you. The design of the monsters, her giant sword, and the way it ends just screams anime to me. I think Hollywood needs to make more blockbusters based on Japanese novels/manga/anime. It's an untapped creative source that has more substance and potential than half the crap they put out now. Any thoughts?
To mods: I didn't know which forum this fell under so if it needs to be moved be my guest.
Since this version is an American made live action movie should probably go in members lounge.

Sorry, but I disagree. Hollywood already milks pretty much everything, and I don't want to see anime get the same treatment.
Yeah. Not to mention outside of Say, Black Lagoon & Cowboy Bebop, not a lot of stuff that could be easily adapted to live action cinema, heck most LA anime based films made in Japan aren't that good.
We all know what they did to DBZ….and Avatar, & Alvin & The chipmunks..,and Marmaduke..and the new TMNT....Hollywood stop raping my childhood!!, >:(
The Speed Racer movie was a good adaptation. There, I said it.
I also really enjoyed this movie.
