The Frida Cinema And Funimation
Heya! Massive fan of Funimation here. There’s a non-profit theater in Santa Ana, California known as The Frida Cinema. They basically play tons of classic films for dirt cheap and sometimes even for free, with the original company’s permission of course. They play films like The Room, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Clockwork Orange, etc. I was wondering, how flexible would the Funimation staff be with the theater showing some anime episodes or even anime movies? Funimation themselves would still be making money off ticket sales.
its not a convention, but here's what the FAQ says about screening their stuff
Yeah I contacted them and decided to wait it out. Although I am curious about what the community thinks.
