Is Sora Perse from Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V inspired by Killua from Hunter x Hunter???

  • So let me get everyone up to speed since I sure alot of people here don't watch current Yu-Gi-Oh!

But everytime I watch this series Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and also currently watching Hunter x Hunter it make me more in believe of this. Now though Yu-Gi-Oh came out before Hunter x Hunter, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V DID NOT Sora is a new character that was just made a few year ago.

Ok so the 1st thing which is the obvious there both short and I willing to bet there the same height. But Height really does not mean anything so let get into the real reason why I believe this.

Reason 1: The English Voice Actor Also almost SOUND THE SAME! At 1 point I though same voice actors until I research it. Sora voice actor totally had me fooled. Though it make sense since 1 from New York the other from California.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUNla3TyB50 "Gon & Killua vs Netero English Dub"

Sorry hard to find clips to show.

Reason 2: Though Sora is not a "Assassin" like Killua I mean this is Yu-Gi-Oh after all no killing alot, he was though train his hold life to be merciful duel also was force to not have friends in Duel Academy. Sound familiar???

Reason 3: Sora was send from the fusion dimension to the Earth Dimension because he was the top duel to spy but along the way I guess forgot this or just wanted to forget it very unclear my guess is this was a Dub screw up by 4KMedia. Anyway when he when to Earth Dimension he gain friend like Yuya who he really look up to and Zuzu as I show this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sgD5Dh9SRA "Yu-gi-oh Arc V DUB: Sora Wants To Send Zuzu Back Home" even though he still with Duel Academy he wanted to help Zuzu because she was his friend. And he has said he never had friends before. You know like Killua before he met Gon and had 1st real friend.

Reason 4: Hit the switch in second https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiU9eLCDeu0 "Yu-gi-oh Arc V DUB: Sora turns nasty"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrvG8enrneg "[Hunter x Hunter] - Killua Kills Bodoro & Gets Disqualified - English Dub"

Reason 5: Killua leave his home and Sora betard Duel Academy to be with there new friends.

So yeah Hope more people that have watch both show have notices the same I have. I willing to bet no here has watch Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V English Dub but I wanted to being this up because here anyone talk about it. Sora become one of my favorites in Yu-Gi-Oh not my favorites but my favorite in Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V because so different but he cool doing it. I would like to hear other people though on this madder?

  • I'm afraid I haven't watched Yu-Gi-Oh, but your post has made me want to. Killua is my all time favorite anime character, one of my favorite characters period, so if there's a character like that then dang, I'll watch for sure!

I have only been watching the HxH dub as it's being released on DVD when I buy the sets, out of curiosity how far has it aired now? (I have watched the complete subtitle at least 5 times by now, and some arcs more then that)

@emdier you have cable right? Because in Canada and Australia respectively and I know you're from Canada so this will actually benefit you Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V is actually way ahead of the United States. Actually currently running season three right now in your country on a channel called Teletoon. So 37 of season one was the last televised episode in the United States before Nicktoons the channel that airs it cancel that they've since released season one on Blu-ray and DVD for both Canada and the United States but season two is yet to be released on Blu-ray and DVD. Oh season one all season to aired on Canada and they're currently showing season three as we speak every Saturday On Teletoon.
