When should the 2-ep teasers of 553,554 be available; Since Funi tends to drop them before the big voyage box batch are available (which is in March).
I thinking somewhere in January or early February for my guess.
Funimation adds two episodes from an upcoming set release 4-6 weeks prior, so earliest possible date would be the week of February 12th (based on the schedule linked below).
Hi there. Welcome to the forums. Please allow me to clear up a few things for you.
Inuyasha is not licensed by Funimation, but rather by Viz Media.
As of now there is no fifth Inuyasha movie, and neither Funimation nor Viz can make one because they're in the business of anime licensing, not production.
The Suggestion Box forum is made for users to recommend changes to the website and forums as a whole, not for users to suggest which anime they want licensed and/or produced.
Sorry about the confusion. I'll be locking the topic up now. If you'd like to continue discussion about Inuyasha as a series, please feel free to create a new topic in the "Anime & Manga" section of the site.
Is there going to be an English dub for this movie? I read somewhere that there is going to be a German dub releasing on January 26, 2018. So I was wondering if there's going to be an English dub. I know it's a recap movie but it also has it's own original story too according to the descriptions on the movie they said it has an original story along with recaps of the anime.
I wouldn't put it past HG to renew their licenses for another 10 years when expiration time draws near, just to do nothing on them for longer and rubbing it even deeper in our faces.
@GalaxyCrisis apparently Harmony gold license will expire in 2021 as of this court ruling for at least one of the anime titles. Not sure about the other ones or the Robotech appetition that they made if many Harmony gold is still allowed to keep that is still unknown.
Robotech would still be Harmony Gold's but they can't keep using assets from the Macross series (mech and character designs pretty much). Or rather, they can... until 2021.
In the Macross side of things, I have seen OG Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Macross: Do You Remember Love?, Macross II: Lovers Again, Macross Plus, Macross Frontier, and Macross Frontier: The Wings Of Goodbye l.
Meteora's comment to Matsubara about diverging storylines was a rather interesting note; as long as the creators continue writing, the casualties of the event (Selesia, Alicetaria, Charon, and perhaps even Mamika) will continue to live on.
After a final meeting with their creators, Meteora sends all the active participants back to their respective worlds. The only catch is that Meteora herself cannot return to her world at all, so she stays behind and decides to write a story of her own. Kikuchihara resigns from the Ministry after all is said and done, while Alicetaria's creator wins an award. And there's one final subtle instance of fourth-wall-breaking when Meteora asks Sota for any ideas about the title of her new work.
"So why not this one?" Because there are... probably about 20 times as many manga that exist as ones that get anime.
I'm not a huge manga fan, so the only one I can think of is one that's actually based on a British novel series, but those books have been my favorite since I was 10, so.......
