I'm going to wait till at least round 2 to do anything with this tournament. The set-up for round 1, having to back up to check what everyone else has done in each vote in order to place your own vote, and with 16 votes per bracket, is a bit too much to calculate for a round unless voting exactly like the person before you.
@SpacemanHardy Maybe "blame" was too harsh a word, but that one comment felt like a huge glob of mud was slung straight into my face. I wouldn't have named names if someone didn't effectively kick me while I was feeling down.
After going through the voting threads, I noticed one glaring omission; I'm surprised you decided to abstain from voting in the finals.
@GalaxyCrisis I did not even vote in ever round or ever match up for yours either. Some people missed it. From the looks of my tournament alot of my picks are going to be out in round 1, does it stink? Yes. But it what the people wanted. We can't get everything wanted something.
I do see some problems here for the way people counts votes.
So for Round 2 and onward
You will now put both participants down but he the different.
Person A - 3 vs. Person B - 2
Person C - 0 vs. Person D - 4
Person E - 1 vs. Person F - 3
You put the number down but you ONLY bold the person your voting for with the new add number in for that person your voting for. You still voted in order of how there listed on the bracket. Round 1 will still have the current voting rules to it. I apologize for this inconvenience.
This is A LOT easier vote than in the women's tournament. In that case, they both deserved to be in the final. In this one, Todoroki should have lost several rounds ago.
Several comments in the women's tournament are talking about a "MMO Junkie sweep", and I have to admit I think it would be great since it was an easy favorite for the Fall season, but the reality is that Sakurai is straight-up the better character here.
Stop reading here if you haven't seen the series or don't like spoilers. I'm not going to hide this behind a button click because TODOROKI DOES NOT EVEN COMPARE TO SAKURAI!!!
Even when looking at his backstory, he was only ever a good friend to Morioka. He supported her without even knowing anything more of her than a partner in a video game. After having lost the only family he ever knew, and relying only on online connections, he was never resentful that she disappeared, but only wished the best for her. Even when meeting online again, he was the same supportive person that he had been when at the lowest point of his life. He only ever though of Morioka's characters as great friends, and was always there as support without even knowing anything more. He didn't even know that the two characters were the same person.
When he first met Morioka in person (okay, I'll admit he knocked her out cold), was when getting her injuries treated. A complete accident, but he was man enough to know that it was his responsibility to fix it. The only lack of resolve ever shown was in not having the nerve to ask her out directly, but rather to try to "sneak" dinner into this incident. This is a weakness that I'm 100% positive that everyone can relate to. If there's anyone that's immune to those butterflies, they've missed out on a major part of their life.
This is the vote I was dreading. Both are great characters, but Morioka's personality kept me waiting for the next episode to drop the entire season. I don't get that same feeling of dedication to Chise. I watch the series, and enjoy it, but it's not specifically because of Chise as much as the story.
