That last one refers to “Return of the True Demon,” a DLC that will provide a meaty challenge for players, allowing them to fight some of the strongest demons in the game and face off against Demi-Fiend, the protagonist longtime fans will recognize from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

Defeating these tough demons will earn players their fusions, and taking down Demi-Fiend will unlock his Essence for players to fuse with.

There’s also “A Goddess in Training” DLC, which focuses on Artemis, “The Rage of a Queen” DLC, focused on Cleopatra and “The Doctor’s Last Wish” which has the player looking for a mission Bethel researcher on the direction of Mephisto. Completing each of these missions will allow players to recruit demons and unlock their fusions.

There will also be a set of helpful content packs that can assist you throughout the game, including “Mitama Dance of Wealth” and “Mitama Dance of EXP,” which increase the spawn rates of rare demons to provide more Macca (money) and EXP, respectively. There’s also “Mitama Dance of Miracles,” which increases the amount of Glory items earned when defeating corresponding Mitama, allowing you to power up your character faster.

The new difficulty mode is called Safety, and offers an easier time than the game’s standard lowest difficulty, Casual. This one is geared toward players who may just want to experience the game’s story and don’t want to worry too much about getting taken down by tough demons.

Shin Megami Tensei V launches on November 12, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Will you be picking it up? Share this post and let us know! And stay tuned to Funimation for the latest news on all things anime, this season and beyond.
