The iconic Black★Rock Shooter character is returning after nearly a decade away, and our eyes lit up at the sight of this awesome new visual for Black★★Rock Shooter: DAWN FALL, coming next spring!

Motoki Tanaka (Azur Lane) is directing the new TV anime project at Bilbury Animation Studios (The Quintessential Quintuplets 2), with scripts by Makoto Fukami (Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka) and character designs by Masayuki Nonaka (Azur Lane) and Yō Nakagawa.

Ryohei Fuke (A.K.A. huke)’s 2007 Black★Rock Shooter illustration kicked off an entire media franchise of anime, music, manga and video game adaptations, boosted by ryo (supercell)’s hit Vocaloid song of the same name.

DAWN FALL follows a 2010 OVA and 2012 TV series, which were produced by studio Ordet and directed by Shinobu Yoshioka.
