We were super excited last week to announce that the latest anime from studio Science SARU (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) and director Naoko Yamada was coming to Funimation, so we’re extra excited to bring you even more details now!

Kensuke Ushio, who is composing music for the anime, is also in charge of the ending theme. Featuring ANI from hip-hop group Scha Dara Parr, the ending theme song is titled “unified perspective.”

And on the other end, the opening theme song will be “Hikaru Toki” (“When It Shines”) by indie rock band and anime newcomers Hitsujibungaku.

The Heike Story draws inspiration from the original story THE TALE OF THE HEIKE, written by Hideo Furukawa. The series stars voice actors Aoi Yuki as Biwa and Takahiro Sakurai as Taira no Shigemori.
