If you’ve been missing a certain cheeky fanged grin, then we have news for you! The official Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Twitter account gave us our first update since the anime’s second season was announced, unveiling a 2022 release date and a special visual featuring Uzaki’s trademark smirk.
And today, August 7, is also Uzaki’s birthday! An illustration by the original manga’s author, Take, was released to commemorate the occasion as well as the release of Volume 7.
The anime’s first season, produced by studio ENGI (The Detective Is Already Dead), aired in summer 2020 and starred Naomi Oozora (Inari Kon Kon) and Kenji Akabane (Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia) as the playful pair.
Funimation streamed the series subbed and in English-dubbed format, which you can watch right here!
Official Synopsis: University student Shinichi Sakurai is comfortable being an introverted loner and doesn’t care what others think. Buxom underclassman Hana Uzaki doesn’t understand this one bit. A tornado of joy, she’s taken it upon herself to make him more social.
Starting to enjoy her company, he’d concede that they’re friends. Can it be possible to have as much fun with another person as he would by himself?’
