That’s right, Sabito and Makomo are officially joining the playable cast of the highly anticipated release, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan.
The news was announced in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan, and posted via the game’s official Twitter account. With the addition of these two characters, the cast of the game has expanded to eight so far, with the possibility of additional characters in the future!
Sabito and Makomo are the two Demon Slayer candidates who help train main character Tanjiro, helping him to achieve the impossible task of splitting a boulder with his sword.
This pair of fierce and humble warriors are celebrated by fans for their mysterious origins and fox-themed warding masks, which Urokodaki gifted to them upon completion of their training.
Fans of the series can look forward to the release sporting both a Story Mode, where players can re-experience events from the anime, and a Battle Mode, where players can take each other on as their favorite characters.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan is set for release later this year in Japan on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC (via Steam).
