Are you ready for a new generation of cardfighters? Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress is officially joining the Funimation Spring 2021 anime season lineup.

We’re excited to reveal the official synopsis for the series, along with a teaser visual and trailer! Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress begins its simulcast on Funimation on April 2.

Official synopsis: Stand up, Vanguard! A new story in the Vanguard series awaits! Planet Cray enters a new era of lore and fighters. Unable to cope with his unique heart-reading abilities, middleschooler Yu-yu Kondo flees home where he encounters Vanguard in action. His journey leads to a new world of lore, cardfights and friendships.

From studio Kinema Citrus (The Rising of the Shield Hero, Made in Abyss), Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress marks the 10th anniversary of the Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game created by Akira Itou. This new series will also be the first to have designs from the legendary manga collectible CLAMP (Cardcaptor Sakura, X).

The series stars voice actors Shouta Aoi (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, TSUKIUTA. The Animation) as Yu-yu Kondo; Amane Shindou (D4DJ First Mix) as Megumi Okura; Yuki Ono (Beastars, Kuroko’s Basketball) as Danji Momoyama; and Yuma Uchida (Banana Fish, Fruits Basket) as Touya Ebata.
