Superpowered Tattoos Come to Funimation This Winter with Scar on the Praeter

What if you had a tattoo that contained the powers and abilities of a divine beast? Get ready to find out, when original anime series Scar on the Praeter, from Frontier Works’ multimedia franchise Project Scard, joins the Funimation Winter 2021 anime season lineup.

The series is set in the Akatsuki Special Ward in Tokyo, protected by men with a “Divine Tattoo” called the Scard. As such, the group is split into factions: The Helios, who utilize their tattoos to protect the city; Artemis, a security force protecting the organization; and the Public Security Special Service, the de facto police force of the city that maintain order.

Every day in Akatsuki is another day to fight on.

From studio GoHands and director/character designer Shingo Suzuki (K, Coppelion), Scar on the Praeter stars Japanese voice actors Atsushi Kousaka (Talentless Nana, Hetalia) as Eiji Arashiba, Shoya Chiba (Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, Classroom of the Elite) as Kazuma Arashiba, Arthur Lounsbery (STARMYU, Haikyu!!) as Yamato Kai, Junya Enoki (Jujutsu Kaisen, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Kagami Sakishima, Takeaki Masuyama (Sword Art Online: Alicization) as Ran Washimine, Shou Nogami (THE IDOLM@STER Side M, TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION) as Jin Karasue, Taku Yashiro (Fire Force, THE IDOLM@STER Side M) as Kouga Tatsuma and Tasuku Hatanaka (My Hero Academia, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) as Itsuki Torataka.
