The second character pass for Jump Force is the shounen gift that keeps on giving! BANDAI NAMCO has officially announced that Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho is joining the fight this fall and in 2021 on Nintendo Switch.

Released in May, the pass gives players access to an extra character from the following franchises: My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

We’ve already gotten icy (and hot) with Todoroki and are anticipating the release of Meruem, so it’s exciting that Hiei is up next! With the Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho representation, it looks like fall is officially the season of Togashi!

Hiei Jump Force

As it currently stands, Yusuke and the Younger Toguro are the only Yu Yu Hakusho reps in the game. And while those two make for a monumental battle, we’ve been needing to “feel the touch of a friend” when running in that “faceless town.” Luckily, the third eye has been opened, and Hiei will most certainly bring the fire!

We imagine he’ll be the small, speedy type who packs a punch (or, in his case, a dragon), so we’re excited to take on the growing Weekly Shonen Jump library…and recreate some Yusuke vs. Hiei tension. As Yusuke once said, “Bring it, [censored]!”

The Character 2 Pass is now available and costs $17.99, or you can buy individual characters at $3.99 each. Hiei will arrive this fall and on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
