Ready for the drama? Ikebukuro West Gate Park just dropped a brand-new PV, confirming the series’ premiere date and revealing the opening and ending theme artists for the hotly anticipated series!

First up, the latest trailer for IWGP, which gives us a clearer look at some of the scenery in Ikebukuro, additional details about the series’ main characters, and even more of what we can expect when broadcast begins…wait for it…October 6 at 9 p.m. JST!

Details to come on broadcasting date and time on Funimation.

And what’s a new anime series without a new opening and ending theme to get hyped about!? The OP is titled “ニードルノット” and will be performed by THE PINBALLS, and the ED is titled “after song” and will be perfomed by INNOSENT in FORMAL.

IWGP was announced at FunimationCon 2020 as part of the upcoming Fall 2020 anime lineup on Funimation. Based on a series of urban mystery novels (and their live-action adaptation), the series follows the coolheaded Makoto as he navigates the pressures of an encroaching gang life in the G-Boys due to his friend, King, being a leader.
