Every week, we’ll answer a handful of your letters on the Funimation Blog, so be on the lookout for a response.

my hero academia deku

My hero became such an inspiration to my life teaching me to never give up and to keep on striving to become a better person. Much love and thank you for making this anime PLUS ULTRA!

from Eder

Eder, thanks so much for writing in. We’re so happy to hear that My Hero Academia has had such a positive impact on your life! And we love to hear this.

While we certainly do try our hardest to introduce as many people as we can to the incredible adventure that is My Hero Academia, we have to give our eternal thanks to the Japanese cast and creators for the series. Because of their amazing work, the heroic deeds of Deku and All Might reach people all over, and have a positive impact on so many peoples’ lives.

Mineta My Hero Academia

What else do y’all think mineta could have as a job in if he wasn’t tryna be a hero?

from Beetle

Oh, Mineta. Well, the one that we’d guess based on his Quirk would be working at a juice shop. Not that his Quirk would really help with that, but he could be a mascot of some sort for the place.

And hey, he’s already got some experience as a server from My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. The sky is the limit! Just don’t be weird about it, Mineta.

Overhaul - My Hero Academia

Overhaul is such a cool villain! I can’t wait to see his evil deeds animated in the new season!

from Aspicus

We’re just a handful of episodes into Season 4 and Overhaul is already such a standout character. He’s so… calm about his evilness, and that adds this sense of dread to every encounter with him.

But we’d have to agree with you! From his terrifying (and wonderful) character design to the incredible work from both the Japanese and English voice actors for the character, we’re excited (and scared) to see what’s next. Thanks for writing in!

All Might My Hero

Superhero movies are incredibly popular right now, but they’re popular because in our world they’re fictional. What would All Might watch on his day off? Would Avengers Endgame be considered a documentary to them?

from Matthew

Hi Matthew, thanks for writing in! While we don’t know for sure what movies or television the Symbol of Peace watches on his days off, we can definitely speculate!

Avengers: Endgame is a good pull, and imagining a similar story with characters from My Hero Academia sounds AWESOME. But, we like to think All Might just hangs back and watches The Office, or anime. Wait, that’s us.

My Hero Eri

Who is the girl with the 1 horn on the left side of her forehead that was shown in the opening and trailer

from Aj

Hello Aj! The young girl from the opening of the series and the trailer is Eri, who we just met in Episode 67. We don’t know too much about her yet, other than that Deku was very worried for her safety. Also, she’s played by Emily Neves in the English dub, and she’s great!

We will learn more about her soon!

That’s a wrap on this week’s Quirks & Questions! Thanks to everyone who wrote in. We’ll see you next week!
