IT’S REALLY HAPPENING!! In celebration of the upcoming movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Goku is officially the newest balloon coming to the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year — making him the first character originating from a Japanese manga to ever get a balloon in the world’s largest parade.

Dragon Ball has always been a force to be reckoned with in the anime world, and thanks to fans’ undying passion over the years, it’s being recognized on a major, national level.The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade is a 94-year American holiday tradition, watched annually on TVs across America and internationally as well!

Goku will be joining the ranks of iconic and classic characters in Americana culture such as SpongeBob, Charlie Brown, and Frozen — a huge achievement for Dragon Ball and anime as a whole. And it’s all thanks to you!
