FMA:Brotherhood Dynamic Theme Debuts in PlayStation® Store

February 9, 2011 by Funimation

UPDATE:  The Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Dynamic Theme is now available for Canadian PS3 users! Head into the PlayStation® Store to put Ed and Al on your PS3.

All you PS3 owners out there need to head to the PlayStation® Store today and look for theFullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Dynamic Theme.  I don’t know about you, but I’ve been dying for a good dynamic anime theme for my PS3. Currently, I’m rocking PixelJunk™’s Monsters dynamic theme, but that’s soon to get replaced by some Ed and Al awesomeness.

Not featured in the video below are the custom sounds when browsing the menu, but they are there. The theme should launch today but it might not be up quite yet, so keep checking the PlayStation® Store throughout the day.

Are you getting the FMA:B Dynamic Theme? If so, what theme are you replacing?

Read the press release below:

First Anime Title Theme Available Today

Flower Mound, TX (November 30, 2010) – FMA fans take note: a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherbood-based dynamic theme hits the North American PlayStation® Store, a service that is part of PlayStation®Network, this week.

Fans of the anime series can download the theme, available for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, for $2.99.

Both the theme itself and the icons will be themed with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood imagery.  Some of the dynamic elements include the sound, change of light in the background from day to night, eye and clothing movements, as well as a look at how Al and Ed age from children to adults.

Watch video of the theme here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etE6wstomC0

About Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood:

Edward and Alphonse Elric’s reckless disregard for alchemy’s fundamental laws ripped half of Ed’s limbs from his body and left Al’s soul clinging to a cold suit of armor. To restore what was lost, the brothers scour a war-torn land for the Philosopher’s Stone, a fabled relic which grants the ability to perform alchemy in impossible ways.

The Elrics are not alone in their search; the corrupt State Military is eager to harness the artifact’s power. So too are the strange Homunculi and their shadowy creator. The mythical Stone lures exotic alchemists from distant kingdoms, scarring some deeply enough to inspire murder. As the Elrics find their course altered by these enemies and allies, their purpose remains unchanged – and their bond unbreakable.

Evangelion 2.22: Voice of Mari Debut

February 3, 2011 by Funimation

Amazon.com just posted the exclusive clip from Evangelion 2.22 that shows the first time Shinji (Spike Spencer) meets Mari (Trina Nishimura). As a little bonus, Spike introduces the clips with a bit of commentary.

Find the clip on the Amazon page under the box art where it says “See 2 more images and videos“. While you’re there, make sure your pre-order before the release on March 29th.

Remember, the English dub pretty much hasn’t been heard anywhere except within the FUNimation walls.  The theatrical release has been sub only, so this is your first chance to hear the English voices for an extended amount of time. First time ever for Mari.

Enjoy and tell us what you think. smile
