I guess it wouldn't make sense to have show pages for titles Funimation no longer has the license for, but would it at least be possible to make a thread called "Funimation Graveyard" (or something less lame lol) where fans can discuss former licenses?
Being a big Lupin the 3rd fan I often posted in that show's forum section at the old Funimation site.
Afaik other licenses that have expired are:
Baki the Grappler
Spiral
Sakura Taisen: Ecole de Paris
several Geneon titles (e.g. Kamichu, Paradise Kiss)
and many others
Plus who knows what else could be dropped and left to be expired in the future (Case Closed?
)
When the license expires are the forum section and show page (funimation.com/case-closed) going to suddenly be taken down?
Having an "oldie" forum section would be useful right?

Those shows has expired and the bandwidth can be used for news shows/movies that FUNi acquires the license for.
If you want to talk about show that FUNi has dropped, you could make a post in the Anime Forum.
Sure... but since the Anime Forum is probably the busiest forum of all, everything there eventually gets buried. Then it eventually becomes a repeat/duplicate disaster when similar topics and show discussions are made later on.

How about asking Sophie or another mod for you to make a thread about all ex-FUNi titles and for one of them to sticky that thread.
Yes. This has been requested before. Shows that we no longer have the license for are to be treated like any show that we don't yet have the license for. We can't promote them anymore, unfortunately, and this seems to be the best solution for now.
Users are supposed to search the forum for existing show threads. If a duplicate thread is created, it will be locked. Most of the forums that were killed didn't have threads anyway, and the ones that did are now living in the Anime forum. I've stickied a search reminder thread in there, so hopefully that will help some.
That thread would probably either (1) turn into a mess of fan discussion over vastly different shows or (2) a license request/rescue thread, and we already have one of those.
Thank you for all of your suggestions.
