I've brought this up before and someone did tell me that it's like this by design but I'm making this post as a request to reconsider the design of these forums.
Why is there a specific forum category for each and every show FUNimation has a license for? Like shows should be combined into like sections where discussions can be had for all of the shows under that category. (This is how it was on the previous forum). The reason why the current setup isn't a good idea is because:
1. Users need to sift through more pages.
2. Users need to wait longer than they really should or want to.
3. Many threads and posts will go unnoticed by other users. This stifles the amount of conversations and makes it less likely that someone will respond to a thread or post you make.
4. It makes the forum look dead.
5. It makes browsing a complete nightmare.
By segregating each show you also segregate all the users. This is why the general discussion categories thrive so much as opposed to the show-specific categories which tend to have less than 5 threads in them.
The fact that we constantly have to load new pages to get anywhere on this site (sometimes multiple different pages to get from one place to another) and the fact that load times on this site are horrendous, should both be reasons why a consolidation of categories is needed.
I think it might be easier if it was sorted better and instead used drop-down boxes. The lengthy page load times makes it more of a chore to get to the deeper sections, and some parts are dead if not dormant.

You say theirs a specific forum for each anime well their is but you can just generally talk about any anime in the "Anime" section in the forums. That allows for a wider variety. While i do agree the load times are long sometimes i think the forums are a lot better than what they use to be.

Indeed it was, and I'd assume a big part of that was because of how cluttered the old forums got sometimes, when a bunch of shows were just tossed together.
It's kind of a win/lose situation I think - it does make the forums look a little dead sometimes, but the alternative is a clustered board again.

I wish they would just make a drop-down menu. That way we can have our cake and eat it too (the ease of combined sub-forums without the clutter).

That would be ideal I think, yeah. It'd be one heck of a drop-down menu though.

Works just fine when searching for a show to watch in the Videos section.
Lol, yeah, it would be. However, they could always make drop-downs for action, drama, mystery, etc. to make it easier to navigate, and they could bold the more popular series for distinction.
