On the old Funimation.com/video website, we were able to cycle through other videos in a series while a video was playing, and the page didn't change. We seem to be able to look through the episodes on the Guide section of a show's home page without a new page opening, but it's not like a video is playing at the same time.

I, too, find the episode navigation frustrating. I'm enjoying the Is This a Zombie? OF THE DEAD simulcast, but I need to load the video page three times after arriving at the shows listing to get to the current episode, because I have to click "show all", then "next page" to get to the episodes after 19. And if I've forgotten which one I'm up to, as I did today, I have to do it from again, and each click takes several seconds to load the page. The previous player's method where the episode selection box was independent of the streamed video's page was significantly more convenient.
It could be more streamlined. It could also keep sub & dub options together for a particular episode? ( on some screens, they seem to get seperated? )
maybe as two buttons under a single thumbnail? which could be smaller, to allow for more entries on the page.
"Bide your time and hold out hope!" - Gankutsuoh ...that we get SPICE AND WOLF SEASON 3! ( and Monte Cristo on Blu Ray. )
Sometimes I think evil thoughts and think Funi Designed it this way so ill become frustrated and go buy the DVD. Which I hope is not the case, I still like to think sharing anime with the world is the #1 priority and making dollhairs is 2nd.
"Sharing anime with the world" is what fansubbers do.
Doing so legally and in a way that provides financial support to the creators requires money, and that necessitates making money. Since FUNimation is a company and not a charity, making some profit along the way is also desirable.
Yes, they would really prefer you to buy their DVDs but the site is not designed to be frustrating and an update is coming.
Signature? What signature?
"The site is not designed to be frustrating?" You could have fooled me.
I wholeheartedly agree that you should be able to cycle through all the videos while you are on an episode page so that you can select the next episode and go straight from one to the next. I am getting very annoyed with how difficult it is to simply watch several episodes of a show one after another. That is the easiest thing to do on practically every other video website on the internet.
