Sig upload

It would make managing sigs easier if you could upload it the same as an avatar, so that there are hard limits on the size in accordance with the rules - then disable regular image tags in signatures.
Bonus points if it allowed you to easily scale and crop the image while uploading if it was too large since not all users are proficient at image editing.

Re: Sig upload

I like this suggestion. It would give users complete control for their signatures, if they use images.

Re: Sig upload

Ya, I looked everywhere to find any kind of rules or restrictions on sigs, I couldn't find anything in that regard.

Re: Sig upload

Wow, had to read that like three times, at a loss at how I missed it.. I noticed when adding an avatar, it tells you right on that page the size restrictions, but not when it comes to sigs. Seems like it would make sense to have it there too.

Looks like mine is a tad bit too big as is yours as per the rules, guess I'll shrink it a little bit. When I look at it, says it is scaled upward though. Also, every time I load it page, it loads small, then scales itself.. Seems to do that to yours too. Wonder if it is just Firefox doing that. For mine it scales it larger, but oddly it scales yours smaller?

Edit:

So far from what I can find, it isn't just Firefox. Also, both of ours are not the only ones, there are others as well. For some, it scales to a width of 455 pixels, and others it doesn't scale it at all.

Re: Sig upload

The images tags are acting a little odd at the moment.
