Unless I'm missing it, there doesn't seem to be a easy way to see a user's recent forum posts or to filter search by user name.

Correct, which means we need to add some filters and probably some sorts while we're at it to the Forum Search.

Sorts to add
Anything else?
Also, I think it's kind of neat that you can search within a single thread.
Advanced forums searches commonly include other options like time (e.g. within the last month) although I rarely use them personally. Restricting a search to topic titles only can be useful however.
That's one thing I like about VBulletin as used by AoD - you have a search dropdown at the top of the forums themselves, when you open a subforum you also get "Search this Forum" and within a thread you get "Search this Thread".
