Yes, so I like to hear some opinions on what I imagine and conceive to be the cast for the series. I am very proud of this cast, so I'd love to hear opinions. I tried my best to cast almost everyone~
1st; Yukiteru Amano: Leah Clark, hands down.
2nd; Yuno Gasai: This one is an absolute toughie. Like I have seen, Yuno's voice will be hard to master, especially that laugh. At first, I casted Alexis Tipton, but her voice was too calm to do so. I was reduced to Luci Christian... but I find Carrie Savage PERFECT.
3rd; Takao Hiyama: Andrew Love
4th; Keigo Kurusu: Also a tough one. I have chosen Troy Baker at first, but now J Michael Tatum,
5th; Reisuke Houjou: Alison Viktorin
6th; Tsubaki Kasugano: Luci Christian

I was thinking he would be a good choice because his role as Simoun from Gurren Lagann came to mind where he did a weak character but eventually grew really strong. Kind of reminded me of Yuki. Yes he's not going to be screaming, "Giga Drill Break!!!" or anything but I thought he might work.
Yuno: Carrie Savage
If you've ever seen Shuffle! then you would have to agree with me on this one. She can do a very sweet and innocent voice but when it comes time to do the whole Yandere thing she is more then capable of doing the way creepy/crazy voice. If you don't believe me then just watch this.

Ah, I don't understand why people keep casting Todd, he can't do a child or innocent voice... so I have to disagree with that. I also casted Alexis as Yuno, but fans would disagree because her voice is too insipid and she can't really raise it. 4th's voice is difficult; if the Marco as Travis doesn't work out, don't you think Travis would be good as 4th? Maxey Whitehead is really good as 5th too... I'll have to agree; it's just that Alison isn't used very often. Luci Christian is also good as 6th, but have you heard her role in Tsubasa? That's what got me to cast her as Yuno. Yeah, Travis and Laura Bailey are married, so I figured it's be pretty awesome to cast them as the 7th. I did cast Robert McCollum as 7th cause most of his roles even LOOK the personality he is, but I liked the Travis and Laura as well. And Kristi Kang as 7th isn't bad either.... we'd get to see her true colors. I don't think Julie is working... I dunno... Colleen would be good as 9th, that dark and deep voice is very nice. Yuri has worked with FUNimation before? If so, I dunno... Yuki's voice is too childish still. And Carrie Savage as Yuno... I always hated that... but I have never heard that before... I only heard her obnoxious high pitched voice... and I just looked her up with some other non high pitched roles... she might actually be a GREAT Yuno... Thanks! 8D

I just thought Yuki kinda looks and sounds like a character Todd would play. I mean, he was great as Nagasumi in My Bride is a Mermaid, and he's the same age as our reclusive little friend Yukiteru, so maybe. But I would be happy with Leah Clark as well.
Now, don't get me wrong. Luci Christian is definately the best voice actress in the biz, along with Brina Palencia and Maxey Whitehead. But her little girl voice reeeeeaally doesn't fit Yuno very well. And it's exactly because of that soft, insipid, innocent tone that's almost always evident in Alexis' voice that I think she would be perfect for Yuno. Yuno's voice is soft, sweet and high pitched for most of the show, even when her batshit insane meter shoots up to over 9000. (Except for the parts when she gets really mad. Then it gets a little bit lower and a lot more menacing.) And she even looks like a character that Alexis would play. I just really like Alexis Tipton. She's a wonderful actress, and I know she can pull off Yuno Gasai in all her yandere glory. Just sayin'.
Hmmm...I really don't know about Travis as 4th. His voice didn't seem to fit the character when I thought really hard about it. In fact, the minute the character spoke his first line and made his first appearance, I immediately thought, "This is Tatum's role, right here."
Now that I think about it a little more, Linda Young has that sugary sweet elderly voice that would be perfect for 8th. Or Lydia McKay, if she pitched her voice higher.
I'll admit that Caitlin Glass has got the perfect voice for 9th(just take Haruhi Fujioka and make her sound brasher and angrier), but Colleen, well, she's a screamer. Don't believe me? Go watch Speed Grapher. Or Fairy Tail. I'm sure she can pull it off beautifully.
Now don't take this the wrong way, but I almost laughed out loud when you said that Britt Karbowski's voice was too tomboyish. Her only voice range is pretty dang high. You've seen the first few episodes of Soul Eater, right? I betcha Zach Bolton told her, "MORE BALLS", like 50 billion times. So, yeah. I'm stickin' with her. She's a great actress, high voice, or no high voice.

Unfortunately, Yuri Lowenthal does not work for FUNimation and never has. He was mainly affiliated with Geneon before they went under. And aside from Durarara!!, he hasn't been in much anime at all. Right now he's focusing on the latest Ben 10 series for Cartoon Network. And even if he did work for FUNI, I don't think he would be the best Yuki. Frankly, he'd sound too old, in my opinion.
Carrie Savage is my second pick for Yuno. She is absolutely phenomenal. 'Nuff said.

Yeah, I saw that. I LOVE Todd's voice, but I will honestly tell you, I love him as Akise if he can pull the serious low voice. However, I didn't like the idea of Greg Ayres being Akise until I heard his voice in Sengoku Basara. Now THAT is a good Akise, but i still hope for Todd.
Yeah, I just really loved her voice as that chick from Tsubasa, but now that I think about it, it's PERFECT for Tsubaki. However, I believe we're not expanding our views on Yuno. Like, even Kate Oxley may be good, or even Brittney. (Not saying they should be casted, just some ideas or trying to get my point through) So we should expand our views onto more voice actors. However, how you potray Alexis as Yuno intrigues me. I belive her Yuno IS a good way to see her true colors as a VA~!
Yeah, I relly only casted Troy as 4th cause, like, Greedling from FMAB and Kanji from Persona 4, I wanted him to do something different. But Tatum IS a great roll now that I think about it.
Oh really? Well, honestly, the only time I heard her scream, like, loud and painfully was her role in Black Butler. I'll do as you suggested, and the more I hear of this Colleen being casted, the more I'm convinced.

Black Star from Soul Eater, Alice from HOTD, Yamada from B Gata H Kei, That chick from Cat Planet Cuties, Yuri from Angel Beats. As you can see, those are all crazy, excited, tomboyish roles. So this high pitch thing, I've never heard. x'D

Yeah, I just really loved her voice as that chick from Tsubasa, but now that I think about it, it's PERFECT for Tsubaki. However, I believe we're not expanding our views on Yuno. Like, even Kate Oxley may be good, or even Brittney. (Not saying they should be casted, just some ideas or trying to get my point through) So we should expand our views onto more voice actors. However, how you potray Alexis as Yuno intrigues me. I belive her Yuno IS a good way to see her true colors as a VA~!
Yeah, I relly only casted Troy as 4th cause, like, Greedling from FMAB and Kanji from Persona 4, I wanted him to do something different. But Tatum IS a great roll now that I think about it.
Oh really? Well, honestly, the only time I heard her scream, like, loud and painfully was her role in Black Butler. I'll do as you suggested, and the more I hear of this Colleen being casted, the more I'm convinced.
Really? o: Well, I'll be honest with you. I never really seen any good voices with Brittney, so mind suggesting her girly roles? I've only heard tomboyish roles. Black Star from Soul Eater, Alice from HOTD, Yamada from B Gata H Kei, That chick from Cat Planet Cuties, Yuri from Angel Beats. As you can see, those are all crazy, excited, tomboyish roles. So this high pitch thing, I've never heard. x'D
Ohhhh, YES. Todd can pull off that low, serious, sexy voice beautifully. Taro(Ookami-San), Naru(Ghost Hunt), and even Natsu(Fairy Tail) are all instances where he uses his low voice really well. Of course Natsu is the most high pitched, but when he gets serious, it's like, "WHOA". So yeah, maybe he would make a good Akise. He's my favorite character, and Todd is my favorite VA, so if that happened, I would be one VERY happy otaku. But I still think Greg would be good too. (In response to Sengoku Basara: I KNOW, RIGHT?)
Oh my God, THANK you for mentioning Kate Oxley; GREAT actress. And I do agree that I haven't been expanding my horizons with Yuno. Hey, maybe Leah Clark could pull off the role. I mean, she is playing Hummingbird in Deadman Wonderland, and Hummingbird is INSANE. She's not yandere insane, but still.
Mifi from Chrome Shelled Regios, Cal from Phantom(young Cal, not older, sluttier Cal, even though she's wearing ratty, street clothes the first time we see her), and even her small roles in Hell Girl and Ookami-San are pretty dang girly and high pitched. And I really don't know if Yamada would be considered a tomboy,given that she wears skimpy bikinis and deliberately goes to school without any underwear on in hopes of upping her chances of getting Kosuda to have sex with her. But hey, I could be wrong. : )
