If you could see any Tenchi series or Spin-Off Made, what would it be and why!?
*also i'm just now realizing how lazy I am by never visiting all the actual shows forums, lol, shame on me!*
As for me well, I would love to see
-RYOKO'S YEARS AS A SPACE PIRATE!: With the recent Lupin III series focusing on Fujiko's early years, i've been thinking, you know what, it would be really nice to see a show about Ryoko's years as a space-pirate, heck they could even leave it somewhat ambiguous so it could fit into any one of the cannons.
- A MIHOSHI-KIYONE TU SPIN-OFF SERIES!!!: I know not everyone likes these two (your heartless monsters! XD) But personally I would love to see Kiyone & Mihoshi get their own show, maybe give it an 80's Diry Pair feel, hell they could even parody DP, like Pretty Sammy did with Sailor Moon *speaking of which sad Funi never saved it, would love to see that dubbed someday...oh well* Or you know they could make a series about their adventures spanning from their academy days to after they helped Tenchi save the Universe in TU.
and finally of course..
AN OVA 4!!! Not that I didn't enjoy GXP, and while I am looking forward to Seikishi, I would just like to see the main storyline continued, if at all possible, I mean surely they could think of something.....right!? Or how about an OVA 2.5 explaining the stuff that didn't make that much since in OVA 3.
Also Tenchi is celebrating its 20th Anniversary either this year or next I believe sad nothing is being done for it, wish we could get a movie or special or something...oh well there's always the 25th.
And on a bonus note, Anyone else wish someone would bring over the Tenchi Novels.... I know I do. Sad LN's can't cut it stateside *unless their about nude wolf-girls or Vampire Hunters that is, lol*
So ahh yeah, thats enough of my ramblings, what Tenchi-verse shows would YOU like to see!?

Funny, I was just thinking about this afew days ago.
I think I'd like to see another movie (or better yet, a series of movies).
Maybe...
Kenshi returns from Geminar (bringing along at least some of his harem, of not all of them), reunites with (a now 30+ year old) Tenchi and the rest of the original cast. They could throw in a little bit of the usual field plowing, cooking, and the girls arguing over Tenchi. BUT WAIT! A mysterious new enemy appears that threatens the safety of the entire galaxy! Epic space battles ensue, maybe the GP and Juraians get involved too (which could be an excuse for some cameos of Seto, Mitoto, the GXP cast, etc). In the end, Tenchi and Kenshi (with the help of Washu, Tsunami, and Tokimi) open a can of light-hawk wing whoop-ass on the villian.
I'd also like to see the manga and novels (both the canon and non-canon novels) turned into anime, since they're not likely to get licensed and officially translated into english.
The canon novels are essential to understanding alot of the franchise backstory (especially when it comes to OVA3's numerous plotholes, many of which get answered in the novels)
Seeing the stories from the manga and Hasegawa's non-canon novels turned into anime would be fun too. Heck, we already have Daughter of Darkness, a film adaptation of the 11th Hasegawa novel, might as well adapt the rest.
While we're on the subject of spinoffs, I was also working on a fanfiction at one point that was set in the OVA timeline though I never finished it, mostly because I hate writing. I suppose I could try to finish it if anyone was interested.
@Double07: Well VIZ did bring some of the Tenchi Manga over, but its been OOP for awhile, and yeah really wish someone would translate/localize all the other doujins/manga/novels. or make some specials based off of them. The Tenchi franchise needs more love both in Japan & here in the states!
All Will Know The Wonder Of My Dark & Jewled Sky, When All The World Is Wrapped In An Eternal Lullabye.
Whoops, I suppose I should've reworded that. I knew the manga was translated (I actually own most of the volumes, they're sitting on a shelf in my room) I was mostly just referring to the novels with the latter part of that sentence. But yeah, seeing it ALL animated (manga, novels, everything) would be a dream come true.
An OVA that continues the OVA continuity from the end of OVA 2, but completely rectonning OVA 3. No Noike, no loli Kagato, no Counter-Actor, no Seto, no loli SUPAA KAWAII DESU NE UGUU Tokimi, no batty old Kiyone Masaki, no Mihoshi's brother, and no disappointing final battle.
The set up is similar to OVA 3, but instead of garbage, good. Noboyuki has just begun dating Rae, who isn't a close family friend (because if she was, why didn't we see her before OVA 3?), she's a woman he's worked with. Tenchi has trouble thinking of somebody replacing his mother, and struggles to come to terms with his father falling in love with another woman and what it means in the long run.
This gets worse when Tennyo, his long-lost sister, who looks just like his mother, appears. He doesn't remember her because his memories of her were erased by Jurai magic (or something) because she was forced to flee Earth after making an enemy of one of Kagato's minions who came to the planet to look for Ryoko for Kagato. His memories of her were erased so that he couldn't be tortured to reveal her location. Tennyo is a complete ass-kicker and doesn't take kindly to all the pushy women vying for the attention of her brother, disrupting his life, and is more than willing to stand up to them. She stays an active character throughout.
Meanwhile, Z decides to team up with Azusa and recruit some assassins to get revenge on Tenchi for humiliating the king previously. Secretly, Z has also hired the minion of Kagato who hated Tennyo. All of this Z sees as a loophole to Tokimi's orders. He gets to observe Tenchi without "interfering" directly, without laying a hand on Tenchi.
Of course, Ryoko and Ayeka are as aggressive as ever, and Washu is coming up with all kinds of new inventions that themselves threaten reality itself.
Anyway, eventually Z is tired of playing footsie after Kagato's minion and the assassins are defeated by Tenchi and the gang. He decides to challenge Tenchi to a duel. The two fight in space, resulting in a lot of damage to the solar system. Z has the advantage at first, since he can create five Lighthawk Wings as opposed to Tenchi's three. But with Washu's help he gains the advantage. However, a powered up Tenchi starts to do horrible damage to the solar system and Tokimi and Tsunami have to step in to undo it. Z is taken prisoner by Tokimi.
Washu begins to suspect her connection to Tsunami and Tokimi, but the two other sisters don't reveal the truth, because she could be even more dangerous in her Goddess form. What's more, it's best not to risk riling up Tenchi.
Tenchi learns to cope with his father's romance with Rae, who he proposes to. The family attends the wedding. It's there that Tenchi announces that he plans to attend the Galactic Academy, to take the next step in his life.
However, when he shows up for the first day of classes, he sees Ryoko and Ayeka have also enrolled. Thus setting up the next part of the story.
Come to Otaku Revolution!
@Penquin: I want you to go to Japan, and force that Idea to get made! That is indeed much better then the actual OVA 3.
And yeah OVA 3 is (Sadly) a mess compared to 1 & 2. But hey, thats what happens when you wait what a decade or so after your original OVA wraps up to finish it. *sure theres the whole, oh the novels help explain it, but doesn't help us out in the U.S. much does it, lol*
And again I personally would love to see some new Tenchi movies, either adaptions of some of the other novels or just original content, either way it would just be nice to see the Tenchi gang in something new again.
Or, as zany as this sounds, how about a Galaxy Police/ Dirty Pair Crossover, that would be something huh XD Grab the Lovely Angels, MIhoshi & Kiyone, and the chicks from Tenchi Muyo GXP throw-em in a pot and watch the insanity ensue!
All Will Know The Wonder Of My Dark & Jewled Sky, When All The World Is Wrapped In An Eternal Lullabye.
One series would be the fill in of the 15 years between the end of OVA3 and War of Greminar, or Tenchi Muyo GXP2 placed 10 years later with Seina and his harem grown with some kids and new pirates to battle.
I like the idea of having Kenshi going back to Earth with the girls from Geminar to meet the Tenchi and crew. It will be a blast to have the girls fight for Tenchi and Kenshi. Or have Tenchi and the crew visit Kenshi as a surprise visit via Washu's invention. With adventures, comedy, romance and such forth.
If we want that to happen, who do we address it to? How they come up with the ideas to make the series happen? I don't know if we get our ideas to the real director of producer of the show. But, it will be great if we get the opportunity.
Theres is a possible way they will have Kenshin's family come and visit him or him meeting them again back on earth.Someting like this can happen coming soon during the other half of Tenchi Muyo War on Gemair.I notice the final episode that this is not the end of it.
WinterSakura
-RYOKO'S YEARS AS A SPACE PIRATE! , and all the above too , but I would start with this one! I don't know why but since I started watching Tenchi in November of 2012 it has become my favorite anime of all time. I would love to see a movie to follow Tenchi the Movie 2: The Daughter of Darkness, the new girl, Tenchi's daughter is a new character at the end of the show all the other girls finally love and accept her and promise she will become part of the group and her first x-mas will be the following year but thats where it ends and on a cliff hanger at that ...
I can see several possible spin-off for Kajishima-sensei too follow on.
One would be a day in the life series that explains Kenshi and his upbring, inculding all those episodes discussed in WoG.This would be real interesting as there is much to explain about ali those talent Kenshi has.
Second would be a day in lthe ife series based on Tenchi and harem life on earth and their move to Jurai, This allows the series to expand Jurian politics, culture, etc..
And Third would be continuation of WoG, with either Senai and crew, or Tenko (Tenchi and Ryoko's daughter) and Ryo-ohki daughter or Tenshu (Tenchi and Washuu son) with Masaki (sister of Juria's first emperor) or combination there of dropping in along with some familiar space pirates.
The problem is I don't think Kajishima -sensei is interested in this type of work, Can someone prove me wrong?
