The quality here (I'm aware it's only DVD, and it doesn't have a Blu-Ray) is....shoddy. It looks almost the level of a bootleg at times. I know Funi was abit more limited with releasing this, but even with my TV having it in 480P to the point Tenchi's school uniform is almost pitch black, and Kiyone's body tights you can barely see the shading in is really sad.
Any justification for this? Other than I need a better TV

I know I'm not much of a videophile, but I didn't notice anything wrong with the footage quality on my DVD set. Huh. Any chance at all that you've gotten a bad copy somehow or another?
