I'm watching the episodes already alright.I'm really enjoy watching it how this time they are doing a story on Tenchi's half-brother Kenshi.I can't wait till it comes on Funimation for english dubbed.
I will be the judge of this when I get to see the show.
I'm really happy that FUNi nabbed it, and I can't wait to get to see it, but the re-release of the old Tenchi material is probably going to be a higher priority for me at the moment.
Ahhh... new Tenchi material, and not a moment too soon, as I'm right in the middle of OVA 2... and after this is GXP. I'll be looking forward to this with much restrained excitement.
Oh, who am I kidding. It'll be as restrained as Charlie Sheen on YouTube.
I'm glad they got it, and we will see this soon. Of course we had suspicion that, at Otakon, Funimation would announce the re-release of the older Tenchi Muyo series (OVA 1-2, Universe, Tokyo, films) but them announcing "War on Geminar" was a complete surprise to me. I really like ISM and can't wait ^_^

Very happy to hear it finally got licensed. The English speaking side of the anime world deserves to see this because well... its part of the grand Tenchi-verse. And that's a good enough reason on its own. Now if only they'd go back and get all the Pretty Sammy stuff too.
It's pretty ballsy for Funimation to announce Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari as a "brand new Tenchi Muyo series", when it has so little to do with Tenchi Muyo, has none of its characters, and could easily have been something else completely unrelated. Not to mention it's not that "new".
I suspect a lot of people are going to be disappointed when they see that Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka, Sasami, Mihoshi, Washu, and others aren't in it (though Washu is referenced). But then again, none of them were really "in" the third Tenchi OVA either, except as dressing.
I have little interest since the show forces the viewer to accept TM OVA 3 with Kenshi's existence, and I cannot abide by that. Haven't TM fans suffered enough?
And yet Kajishima is continued to be allowed to make anime. For shame, Japan.
Well, I've been at work.
So, YAY! Thank God it's official!
And just so y'all know what you're in for:
