Hi, I'm trying out the elite membership trial, and the player appears to be different than before. The problem is, when I go to full-screen, it stretches to fill my whole screen (which is 4:3 aspect ratio), so 16:9 shows (e.g. Full Metal Panic the second raid) are distorted. Back when I was watching for free this problem did not happen, the full-screen aspect ratio was ok.
Is there a fix for this? If not I'll have to cancel my elite subscription
thanks

A new version of the subscription player is coming very soon (we just QC'd it), which should fix this problem. However, I have reported this to the subscription player developer just in case.
To follow-up: I found a workaround: first switch to 720 resolution, then go full-screen and the aspect ratio is correct. Due to buffering problems I cannot watch shows at 720, so I then go back to 480.
But in the past couple days this workaround has not worked very well. After going to 720, the player often freezes the video (the sound keeps going) and it becomes unwatchable, even after trying to go back to 480.
I would like your subscription service business to succeed so I hope these technical problems get fixed.
Thanks for the followup. I've reported it to our subscription player developer.
Hi, is there any news on the new subscription player, or on a fix for the old subscription player?
On shows without a 720 version (e.g. Baka&Test season 2) my workaround cannot be used, so I have to log out and use the free player, which is a kinda silly when I have a sbuscription...
This latest version has not fixed the problem, so I'll let the subscription player developer know that it is still happening.
Ok, now it is April and the problem still happens - so is it going to get fixed?
Again, it does not happen in 720p, so I wonder can it be that complex to fix?
Regards
There is a fix coming, but not yet. We completely understand if you decide to cancel. You can always come back later to reevaluate and renew. If you need any assistance in cancelling, please email .
In regards to aspect ratio, I don't know if I just didn't notice on the first two episodes or if the problem wasn't occurring but when watching the third episode of Jormungand I notice that the aspect ratio appears to revert to 4:3 when in full screen, the characters appear to be elongated. I went back and viewed the first two episodes and notice the same thing, did I just not notice or has something changed? Is there in fact an issue?
This issue appears to have been resolved, thank you
I still have this problem for anything not in HD.
Stupid anime! I'm not watching you because I like you or anything.
