For some reason this site is EXTREMELY slow.
When I am logged OUT, it works fine but when I am logged IN it takes like 20-30 seconds to log EACH page.
Tried on 2 browsers AND on my iPhone, all the same.

Yeah, the caching servers are going to be a bit slower to respond with personalized pages, than with generic, anonymous pages.
This is nothing new. ALL of Funimations services are horrifically slow and that's when they actually work.
Yeah i noticed this too. I did a tracert to their website and there's nothing slowing me down from connecting to them, it has to be something on their end. They may need to upgrade their servers, maybe add more servers in different countries to lessen the load? The whois for the website says they're using cloudflare CDN, perhaps they should start pricing out other/better options.
I see, I thought it was video only, I don't like to be on a forum that takes this long to load one page that isn't even a big file size.
Been very slow the last couple days. I hope they fix this problem and the problem related to video's not showing video controls. I just started a trail and possible plan to actually continue it for another month or two but these load times are out outrageous compared to the competitors.
These load times are outrageous period. I have never visited any website that consistently has these ongoing issues much less PAY for it to be so egregiously bad. Every other site/service that I have been a paying member of that has an issue usually has it resolved in no time. This is a total affront to it's paying customers who do not deserve this shoddy level of quality.
My 2¢
I've been on this site almost a year and things haven't gotten better. I don't won't to give it up because there are good people here on the forums but FUNimation needs to address this
We're actually rolling out some fixes this afternoon that should improve performance considerably, though we're going to be monitoring the site very closely to see if that's actually the case.
Our next big site update should also address this issue as well-- we know that the site has been particularly slow the past few days, and we're working to improve that.
Is this update you mentioed the "BIg Update" Sophie and other admin have talked about? Out of simple curiosity and not trying ot sound rude but we've heared about that for well over a year. SO I realyhope this update does fix some things. Wil keep fingers crossed.
I reject your reality and replace it with my own.
In their defense, they have announced upgrades to their platform in the past and made good on those. But the demand is quickly outpacing what they can put in. It takes about a year for them to implement changes to keep up with customer need and that's when they are NOT relying on Amazon (I have this from customer support before I subscribed). Which if the past two weeks is anything to go by, clearly they dropped their investment in that.
If they are relying solely on their own instrastructure, given their track record I am more than a little worried. If this lag goes on into the end of Spring, I may have to cancel my subscription since I get enough anime from CR and NetFlix. Which is a shame considering I want to support Funi.
