Flash Player aspect ratio problems

I have recently run into an issue when trying to play any video (subscriber content, that is) with an aspect ratio of 16:9 in 480p on a 4:3 ratio monitor. When pressing the full screen button, the player stretches the video to take up the full screen vertically, rather than adding black bars to the top and bottom to keep the correct aspect. Playing the same video on my 16:10 ratio monitor does produce the required black bars on the top/bottom, and all episodes that are available in 720p work correctly on both monitors. (If only all of Funimation's content were available in HD).

I have tried updating flash and swapping which monitor is set as the primary, and the aspect ratio problem shows up in every series with a default 16:9 ratio that I have tried, so it is easily replicated. My question is there a solution to this problem (via some obscure flash setting or other, perhaps), or is it a known issue?

Re: Flash Player aspect ratio problems

That is a very, very good question.

If the issue is from our end, it will need to wait until our next site update to be corrected, but I'll toss it at our programmers for sure!

If it's an issue with the flash player settings, I'm more calling on some of our more knowledgable tech support forum members on that one. I know a great deal about how our site and service works, but I'm not anymore familiar with Flash than a Google search will be, and I can't really test this issue myself with my current set up.
