Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
I am not sure what I did, but I think it had to do with the AVG browser. I didn't let it add to my computer and it is working wonderfully. I have had no problems with seeing the videos. It is just a hunch but try disabling it on your computer, it just might work.
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
I too have the same issue. This is one of many problems that have been plaguing the funimation website. It's rather depressing really. If it continues I can't justify paying monthly for it >.>
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
I too am having this problem. Not only with my main (windows) PC in all browsers, but also with my Android Tablet and its browsers. I've tried the fixes recommended in this thread but to no avail. Are Canadian users just being blocked for some reason? I would like to watch the Oblivion Island film so I hope this is fixed soon.
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
The problem is that when Adobe updates Flash, it can have issues with sites that worked just fine previously. Now with the route Adobe has gone by defaulting to automatically update Flash, it may update and you won't even realize it till something that worked fine, doesn't anymore.
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
I just signed up for paid membership today after watching a couple of episodes last night (had some minor difficulties but was able to get the player working) However after getting home half an hour ago and updating my flash player version I haven't been able to watch any of the content on the site.
I've followed all of the suggestions in this thread and others including:
> Disabling AVG's do not track addon.
> Straight up disabling AVG.
> Clearing my cache.
> Disabling private browsing
> Disabling all Addons
>Repeating the previous 5 steps and trying again with a different browser.
> No dice.
Whatever the problem is - it's something to do with your web player - I'm willing to bet you're using some third party API in the coding of your web player that isn't compatible with newer releases of flash.
Hire better actionscript programmers.
Or if it wasn't an internal team that coded your web player - license a different one.
I'll give it until the end of the free trial to make my mind up as to whether I want to keep my membership or not - I understand the site is still in beta but if you're going to release a pay-to-use content delivery service, you ought to make sure your subscriber base actually has consistent access to the content.
I see a lot of people mentioning they're from Canada in this thread. I'm also from Canada - wondering if it has something to do with that.
I'm going to try using modifyheader (the firefox extension) to make it look like I'm inside the USA - will update you on whether or not I am successful
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
Update:
Tried modify headers -> nope.jpg
completely uninstalled flash player, installed several different older versions of flash taken from the Adobe archives (between 10.0.2 and current)....
nope.
I've hit the cap of my technical expertise and patience on this one.
Sort of pissed off since it was more or less working yesterday. I'll give it until the end of my free trial. I'm not going to waste money on a service I can't even use.
Hoping they fix things by then because technical issues aside I like what the service has to offer and I want it to succeed (Reasonable price, supporting the artists/content creators, convenience of a streaming service, much bigger selection of anime than competing services, preferable to buying overpriced DVD's)

It's a problem Funimation has not you. It's so Quirky at times and the whole damn site when down last nite.Hey I am a poet but not funny with Funi crashes.I did all the same tricks up to date flash, browser.Java etc. I learned to live with the 10.2 mote just wait the program will load slowly!I actually found a person on FUNI to E-Mail!
Re: Flash Player 10.0.2 requirement blocking viewing
I'm having the same issue with Chrome and IE... I JUST renewed my subscription and watced two episodes and then the update...
I've tried what others have suggested short of flattening the box and starting over. Funny how the ad's all play just fine.

I haven't had a problem with this anymore after using just a barebones install of google chrome. Just D/l and go.
