Firefox fix?

Is there going to be a fix for the video player when using Firefox? And if there is, is there an ETA for said fix? I am comfortable using Firefox, as it has been my browser for years, and would not like to switch to another unless I absolutely had to. I imagine I am not alone in this, either. Any help and/or answers would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using Firefox and the video player works fine for me.

Firefox works for some, but not others. A fix is coming that will take care of this issue and many more, but it won't be ready for a while. I unfortunately, do not have an ETA.

Have you tried deleting your cache and funimation.com cookies in Firefox?

Re: Firefox fix?

Thank you for the reply, Sophie! Unfortunately, I have tried deleting cache and cookies, and it did not work. It's comforting to see that the video player does work for some users with Firefox. I was under the impression that all Firefox users were unable to use the Funimation video player. I will try messing around with some options to see if I can't get it working, and will post my results (at least if I can get it working).

Thank you. Please try disabling your plugins one by one too. There may be a conflict.

Re: Firefox fix?

I also have not been able to get videos to work in Firefox for a couple of months. Possibly if we collaborated between those who have it working and those that don't we can fix it ourselves. There must be some common denominator those who cannot get FF to work have in common (similar add-on settings, etc...) because just working for some and not others is illogical. I understand there is a fix in the works, but I worry that it is an overall fix for many bugs instead of this one particular one (which could take a long time.) I really don't understand why this is not the top priority number one thing that is worked on from open til close everyday since it is not something annoying like missing boxes or slow speed, but actually prevents any use whatsoever for 20% of Internet users. (Well that was FF's marketshare in January, but it has to be taken into consideration in instances such as this that it is most likely much higher than that as IE is used in many more business applications which would decrease its marketshare in this case.)

Edit: I went through and shut off add-ons one by one and it ended up working after I shut off NoScript (although I don't see why that should make a difference since I allowed scripts from Funimation and their CDN Tremmormedia.) Unfortunately that is the one add on I value most so I hope this fix comes about soon.

The major update is big enough that this will be covered. However, it is still a while away, so I think you guys working together to figure out the problem would be wonderful. It would certainly help the team that is optimizing the site while the other team is working on the update.

You are right, that fixed mine as well. It was the one add-on I left enabled because I had already selected to run everything on Funimation, so it never crossed my mind that it could be interfering still. However, I would like to have NoScript enabled, but I guess disabling it whenever I visit this site is better than just having no access to these videos at all. Good find there, batou. Hopefully this will still be fixed some day.

Re: Firefox fix?

Both Firefox and Internet Explorer aren't working for me. I'm running Windows 7, and at the moment my only hope is Apple's Safari, but who knows how long before that stops working too.

If that's the fix, I'll just continue with using Internet Explorer and having it tell me I need Adobe Flash for 10-30 seconds before it realizes it already has it.
