80% of the time I can't even go to the forums. I click the Forums tab and then I wait for a half hour and still nothing come up in the screen. Occasionally, I may be able to get onto the forums. Is there a way to stop my computer from crashing on the site every time I try to go to the forums?

Which browser are you using?
Google Chrome.
Interesting. It's never crashed for me in Chrome. Do you have any extensions installed?
Nope. Nothing at all.
Have you tried stopping and refreshing?

Yeah. Still it happens. However at least it's happening less frequently now.
The forum is going into an infinite number of redirects. It's why I can't click the links in emails to see the responses to my forum posts. I can access the forums at times if I click the link directly from the website, but any links provided in emails are useless.
The browser eventually gives up and says that the website is redirecting in such a way that it would never stop.
Using Google Chrome. edit: I've tried in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, and they all report the same thing.
Not a big deal to me since I don't plan on lurking on the forums much anyway, just throwing that out there.

Hmm... so it's probably ISP related. We'll just have to wait it out then.
Could you provide an example of one of the email links?
The best diagnostic tool for this sort of thing is wget, since you can see exactly what is happening, but unless you use *nix or already know what I mean then walking you through that would not be simple.
I don't suppose you know if your ISP uses any sort of proxying? I used to work for one, and the transparent proxies caused all sorts of weird problems at times.

If you were getting a 503 error that then redirects to the home page, it's ISP related. I got a redirect this morning. Just try to load the page you were just on again. When the site is down for real, we put up the maintenance page.
