I did reach out to the developer and received a sort of nebulous answer to the effect of, "We're aware of the issue and are dilligently working to resolve it. We'll post an update to the Google Play Store when we've fixed it." The app in the Play store appears to have been last updated in August, so I'm not confident bugs are frequently addressed and remedied. Perhaps Funimation as the content provider could try working the other end of the discussion with Phunware? This issue is coming between your content and your paying customers.
