I was hoping this would get picked up, I am ecstatic that FUNimation grabbed it!
I hope they'll also begin to simulcast it at some point as well, and I can't wait for the dub we'll get next year!
Now if only they'd release Chaos;Head...
Very excited that this show got picked up by Funi. This is probably my favorite show of the year. Can't wait for the dub.
Since I started watching this show I felt like buying a lab coat and walking around in it. I'd probably get more respect with it, and maybe drink more Dr.Pepper.
Nothing like wearing a labcoat and drinking Dr. Pepper while watching Steins;Gate. and if you're not doing that then you're doing it wrong.
Anyway I'm glad Funi picked S;G up, not the real question is will the dub stick with 2ch memes or will we get 4chan replacement memes that don't fit.
Also I hope this thread doesn't get derailed. If any of you watched ep 13 feel free to call me a terrible person for cracking train jokes.
Unfortunately, I do not own a lab coat, but I always try to have a bottle of Dr Pepper when watching S;G.
Should be interesting seeing what they do with some of the jokes, like the 2chan line. Not sure how "haker" would work in English, so maybe Daru will turn into a cracker?
And yes, that was a terrible pun.
They just need to have him pronounce hacker wrong, which is basically what he's doing in the Japanese anyway.
Signature? What signature?
I suppose, but that seems like it might be more difficult in English than in Japanese.
Whoever they have voice Mayuri better be able to do a proper Tuturu~. It should be a requirement during auditions.
What is this show even about? Is it a quality show? Thanks
Basically, it's about time-travel. And yes, the writing and directing in this show are exceptional. It was the best show of the Spring by a wide margin and will probably be the best show of the Summer as well.
Tuturu~
Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you.
As long as you remember Her, you are not alone.
I've added some additional information to the first post.
While I wouldn't personally say Steins;Gate is the best of the season, it is one of the better Spring shows, and even given the how serious the description sounds, it's still a lot of fun.
