I am watching Spice and Wolf for the first time, both seasons on blu-ray just came in the mail. I am only on episode 6 but I think my favorite outfit on Holo would have to be the one she had on most of episode 1.
I don't think they were girls clothes, plus he said they were very expensive, so most likely he got them from some Asian traders, near China or Mongolia, just by looking at the clothing style.

Sill, I think is something of a "plot hole" that Laurence's clothes ( particularly the vest? how would that fit his square shoulders, and tall frame ) just happen to fit her so well!
But we can forgive them for that, because it just looks better as a character design.
I vote for Holo's Season 2 outfit, the purple with the ankle bracelets.
It seems to have some Gypsy / Mideast influence? It emphasizes the fact that she is "from another world"
The Fox fur stole is an ironic touch! Because she herself resembles a fox (less so on the novel artwork, where she's a brunette.)
I think the hood looks better than the "nun's cap" as a way to hide her ears.
Question - we never see it, as her hair is never brushed back - does Holo have another set of Human ears below her wolf ears on top?

Yes, that is probably a wedding dress. Not the formal sort, but suitable for a bride who loves nature! As in RenFaire. Surprising it took them 17 books to reach that, eh? There is also another picture I saw somewhere with a yellow/white buttoned dress that is somehow more mature / settled down than her earlier clothing - like a young mother might wear?
Ah yes. The picture that spawned a thousand spoiler warnings. That image is the cover illustration to the "final volume," vol. 17. I use quotations because vol. 17 officially ends the story, but there are a number of side-stories Hasekura-sensei wrote for different magazines and contests that were never bound into an official S&W novel. Volume 11 of the novels is a collection of these kinds of stories, a sort of anthology of tangential stories. Episode 7 from season 1 (where Lawrence and Holo are shopping for clothes) and Episode 0 from season 2 (when Lawrence nurses Holo when she falls sick) are based on stories that are compiled in volume 11. So while vol. 17 is the "final volume," there's enough extra stories for a volume 18, if and when they decide to pull them all together.
Personally, I avoid almost every mention of volume 17, so that the picture remains a "teaser" rather than a "spoiler," but it's definitely a very good outfit. Very befitting of Holo, and very good for so many "I wonder how it ends?" fantasies.
I like her first outfit better, I would also like to point out that Holo puts on lawrence's best clothes, but there all girls clothes..... its not like a tux or something, whats with that, was he cross-dressing?

There's some resemblance, but It's not her - no ears or tail, shorter, different color hair, etc. That could be her (half?) human daughter with Laurence? Or just another NPC for the story. There is something "rabbit like" about her pose... Note the SD Holo's to the far right imitating other characters?
