Funimation forum jobs?

Just a quick question for all those Funimation workers who post on the forums. Is your guy's only job to look through the forums and answer peoples questions? And if it is, do you mind telling me how to apply for that position? Cause that would be a pretty freaking easy/awesome job lol.

Is it a job if it doesn't pay?

While I can't speak for everyone, I know Sophie works on the entire sit e and not just the forum and work on making it better.

Re: Funimation forum jobs?

Uh, this is kind of necro, but screw the rules, I have money.

In the beginning, that was basically my job, but the site was greeted with new challenges and an expansion of scope. So, my job switched from "Online Community Manager" to "Online Requirements and Quality Analyst". My current job is to create online requirements for the developers from very broad intent of each section of the site down to specific functionality of every button and dropdown filter. Then I check their work. I think through this project I've written my first novel. I keep wondering if I should print the requirements documentation and bind it. tongue After the upgrade, I'll primarily be on phase 2 site upgrade documention and app QA I think. I really hope this includes the PS3 app.

One of my tasks is still to oversee the forum and answer questions. However, I actually have someone else do the majority of that for me now while I work on new version of the site. CJ! I do, however, still cover all customer service for and the 1-800 number if you're curious. If you call that and need a return phone call, you'll get me. :D Though, I'm more likely to respond via email so that I can have a record. It also enables me to provide helpful links if necessary.

The other staff that you see on the site are usually the members of Marketing Services, which includes PR and Social Media, and the Brand Managers. PR and Social Media focus on our social network platforms and the FUNimation Blog. The Brand Managers are in charge of marketing each of our shows. The forum isn't their primary task so that's why you don't see them post all the time.

The way to apply for a job is to visit http;//funimation.myexacthire.com. All current open positions are posted there.

Is there not going to be a 360 app? I've seen mention of this a couple times now but it's only been about the PS3. Or is it going to be like Crunchyroll where the 360 won't get it until months later? hmm

Well I'm assuming that once/if you acquire the rights to make a ps3 app from Sony that it wouldn't be hard to also make an app for the psvita? :D Actually, since Sony is already big into "cross-platform" play with the ps3 and vita, they might just do it themselves haha.

Well then...I wouldn't be TOO surprised if you get a prank call in the near future. XD Muahahahaha!
