I just bought the dvds and finished watching this show and I LOVED it. The characters, the story, how it made me think so much. After I saw it, I was literally thinking about the ending for days. And you know it's a good one when that happens!I was just starting to get bored with anime in general before this came along.
My question is, are there any other Funimation series or other dubbed anime in general that are like this? Not vampire anime, I'm more referring to the darkness and suspense of it. The good characters, story and such.
I found it to be just such a contrast from a lot of what I've seen lately in general, aside from certain parts of FMA: Brotherhood.
Not all of these are Funimation anime, but you might like Black Lagoon, Steins;Gate, Ghost in the Shell, Darker than Black, Gunslinger Girl and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Thanks a lot! These ones look pretty good. I think I might give gunslinger girl a try next. It seems like it's got a lot of feeling. And the fact that it's based in Italy seems cool too. I'm always interested when you have an eastern culture write fiction about a western culture.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but it was mostly just vampire anime. The only one that interested me was "When They Cry" and that's only available on Amazon for like $300. So not my cup of tea.
I was more referring to stuff with meaningful story and characters. Something a bit dark and suspenseful.

I bought When They Cry off amazon.com about a year and a half ago for like 30 dollars. Now it's 300 dollars!!! Wow that is expensive it went way up in price. Thing is their not dubbing the 2nd season of When They Cry are they?
