I love the dub, but having watched a lot of the sub I can't help but feel that they should have toned down the jokes a bit. i think that they should have kept the serious moments serious and kept the funny moments funny. i didn't quite like the deaf jokes for the old man who owns the toy shop scene.

My new best friend.
I'm in complete agreement, and, having given more time to thinking about it, I've started to garner some distaste for the dub. This isn't a few rewrites for the sake of familiarity or flexibility--this is completely changing the show. And, actually, I'd be fine with it--if the show had a true, accurate dub as an alternative.
As it is, I can only hope that Funimation is SERIOUSLY changing their policy for future episodes, and hold a far hope that they'll accurately redub the first 51 episodes. Yeah, I know it's unreasonable, but it's what I would love.
Please, Funimation. At least do the rest of the show right.
I cannot wait for Season 3, both the sub and the dub have their good points. I do hope that if they decide to do the 4th season that they keep the Garuru platoon episodes serious since they are one of the most in the entire series.
With Sgt. Frog having ended in March, today at Otakon, one of the producers had this to say:
Quote:
20:53:45 Q: Regarding Keroro, are there plans to produce more?
20:54:07 A: Sgt Keroro and I go way back, I've been working with him for 7 years
20:54:45 So, I am very fond of Sgt Keroro and the TV broadcast has ended in Japan, but within me, i only consider it a short recess
20:55:19 So, I definitely want to find a new partner or a new scheme to bring back the new works of keroro back to the screen, so i thank you for the support
So, essentially, there is potential that more Sgt. Frog in Japan to be made, it'll just be some time for that to happen.

I am so glad I got the chance to ask that. ^^' I hope they find a way to keep making more of the series, both the sub and the dub are my favorite. Heck I bought a copy of Season 3.1 during Otakon only because I couldn't wait to watch the copy back at my house.

You asked that question? That's really cool that you did, because I know a lot of people were wondering if more would be made.
I had too once I saw in the book that he had worked on it I wanted to get a straight answer. We haven't been exactly getting solid answers, so best to go from the source. His translator also took a picture of my Tamama hat before the panel along with the guy next to me who was wearing a Hyaku Shiki hat (Gundam).
I'm watching it on Netflix's Instant Stream service, so far it's great dub almost in the same league as Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo
So one question, when can we expect the other seasons and Sgt. Frog's films to come stateside or be released on Netflix's Instant Stream service and Hulu?

It'll be a while before Funimation announces that they've licensed any more of the series. I suggest you be patient.
