I'm re-watching this series again before I start Highschool of the Dead and Dance in the Vampire Bund, both of which I just picked up this morning on DVD and can't wait to watch. I don't know what it was about Sengoku Basara but I really enjoyed this series, enough to watch it through 5 times now, I think I'll do a review of it for my blog at some point once I become a little less lazy, but in all seriousness I really loved the action within this series and felt it was pretty darn thrilling through it's 12 episodes or so. I really liked the main characters in this series and I loved the second episode where Oda shot and killed Yoshimoto in cold blood, that was pretty darn epic and definately hooked me into this series when I saw it for the first time, the character of Oda is completely awesome.

The music score alone could've made me give this series a second look, but combine that with epic, over-the-top characters who are positively bursting with amibition and drive, who are fun and engaging personalities, AND it's sporting one of the best dubs I've heard in awhile (classic FUNi; pulling out all the stops). And I. Am. Hooked.

Have to buy this series. I sort of want to wait to get both seasons in one go, but at the same time I wanna own this and share it with people RIGHT NOW.

is there going to be an english dub of the second season? because that would be fantastic
