I see season 2 is available for preorder from Amazon. Sweet!! The only bad thing is that it is listed to come out in January. I was hoping it would be out this year. But at least it will be available on Blu-ray Disc. I need to get my pre-order in.

When I ordered the limited edition DVD/BluRay combo from RighStuf a few weeks ago, it was on special pre-order price on $41.99. The postage for that is supposed to be $5.00, USPS Priority Mail, for a total of 46.99.
However now I see they've raised the price in their catalog to $52.49 for the limited edition. With $5.00 shipping that would be $57.49.
I don't know yet if this price change will affect my order (question sent to their customer service), but as of right now it looks like the Amazon pre-order is the better deal. Amazon is charging $48.99 for the limited edition, with Free Super Saver Shipping (IF you remember to change the shipping service when you order).
Amazon has this "Pre-Order Price Guarantee" which is supposed to mean that you pay the lowest price if there are any changes between the time you order and the ship date.
So far they've honored that for every pre-order I've placed
I'm not an employee of either outfit (in fact, I'm not an employee of anyone. sigh), just a fanatically careful shopper.
Thanks to anyone who put up with reading all this crap,

Hello, finally created an account on here, I'm brand new to the site, but have been an anime fan for far too long without one!!! Any ways I just got into this anime and I have to say I quite enjoy it! Also after watching the 12 episodes in a matter of days, I began vigorously searching for season two, I finally found confirmation on Funimation no less I realize some of these posts were a while ago, but if it's any consolation, and assuming Pure Engagement is season two, the dub release date is January 3rd, 2010.
Sekirei Season 2 wasn't supposed to be released until Jan 3 2012, but RightStuf just sent me a message saying that mine has shipped already!
Amazon still has it on pre-order and shows the Jan 3 release date. I suppose anyone who's anxious could bolt to RightStuf and get it now, but you'd be better off to wait until Amazon ships so you can get the lower price.
When I ordered from RightStuf, it was priced lower than Amazon's pre-order. Now Amazon's price is lower than RightStuf's.
Sigh. Amazon has that pre-order guarantee, too, so that if the price drops after you pre-order, they'll lower your cost too. Thus, I was screwed. Oh well.
Of course, I'll be watching my copy over the holidays, whereas you.....
OK, received Sekirei 2: Pure Engagement Ltd Edition today. It's in a nice looking box, with an empty artbox "filler" so you can store Season 1 in there too.
The DVD/BD case insert is reversible with slightly different artwork on the "inside". Stranger than truth.
The collection includes all 13 episodes, plus one OVA entitled "Two Gossip Topics". I haven't researched the OVA so as not to spoil the viewing for me.
Besides the OVA, the other extras are the usual: a few episode commentaries, textless openers and closers, and trailers.
There are 5 discs total: 3 DVDs and 2 Blu-Rays.
The specs verify that it's dubbed in English, as well as subtitled in English with Japanese audio.
I'm going to watch Season 1 over again before I watch this one, so I won't be reporting on the production quality before other folks do. It certainly is packaged well though.
Enjoy your holidays,

I still haven't gotten my copy from RightStuff.
I don't actually have mind in hand yet. The message from RightStuf was just that it had shipped.
However, the USPS tracking info says that it already went through the sorting facility in the next town. That means I'll probably get it tomorrow.
If you don't get a message from RightStuf soon, you might want to go to the website to check on the order status.
Good luck with it,
Alan Mintaka
