FUNimation Show Debut

Hi. I’m Scott, one of the hosts of The FUNimation Show. It’s a new show about all things FUNimation. Simple, right? Every other Friday, me and your pal Rojas are gonna bring you tons of news, info, interviews, funny stuff, serious business, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes action, some OMG, LOL, WTF, ETC.

And since we believe that anime is an important part of the well-balanced Pop Culture diet, we’re also gonna be talking about some of the other nerdy/geeky/rad stuff that’s happening out there. Because we are fans, you and me. Fans of imagination and weirdness and wonder. We demand compelling stories and crave captivating art. It’s in our DNA.

It’s a scientific fact that every human animal is born with an innate desire to see giant robots beat the crap out of each other. We want our heroes to win, our villains to fall, and damn it, sometimes we want to watch monsters make-out. It’s concepts like these that draw us to the anime we love and to our favorite movies, songs, and blogs. So let’s tie it all together and talk about it. Cuz that’s the kind of life we’re living. This is our community, we’re psyched to be a part of it, and monsters need love too. Let’s party.

Anyway, we think you’re going to like the FUNimation Show. And I mean that in both the Facebook and IRL ways. Actually, the Facebook thing is pretty vital to this whole operation. And Youtube. Twitter. Instagram. FUNimation.com.

See, we want you to be a part of this. Big time. We want your opinions and questions. They’re important to us. Because we’re all in this together. We want to hear your thoughts. We want to see your photos. We want to see your world and we want you to subscribe and live in ours. We’re answering questions in every episode. We’re taking them straight from the comment sections and forums. We’ll hear you and we’ll holler back. Give us them feedbacks, y’all. We can’t do this alone. It’s dangerous to go alone. You know that.

Now, since we’re gonna be spending some time together, and at some point I’ll likely be crashing on your sofa, I figured I’d tell you a little about myself.

If you’ve purchased an anime DVD from FUNimation in the last few years, there’s a 33% chance I wrote the stuff on the back. Same goes for a lot of the show descriptions and episode summaries you see online. If you keep an eye on our YouTube channel, you’ve probably seen my face pop up in some medium-funny info-tainment videos for shows like Deadman Wonderland, Strike Witches, and (COLD WAR FOR LIFE) Hetalia. There’s even a chance you’ve heard me “act” in such voice roles as Man in Red Pants, Soldier B, and Dude, We Need an Announcer For This Trailer, but J. Michael Tatum, Ian Sinclair, Chris Sabat, Troy Baker, and Travis Willingham Aren’t Available.

I like dogs, tacos, and heavy metal. I’m cracked out on Breaking Bad, I spend too much time on Reddit, and I’ll never, ever tire of zombies.

Now tell me about you.

Tl;dr: Let’s party.

I like the information at the beginning and end of the show. However, the in between interview really was not very informative. I think maybe learning about the technical part of making an anime would be interesting or Japanese culture. A show can be just as entertaining and smart as well. I also hope the show don’t because a gross fest with the upcoming “hot dog eating contest."

I hope your channel shows up on the Funnimation Roku app.

I have watched a few YouTube shows on my TV; it is hardly a great interface and makes watching YouTube videos on my TV very difficult.
