I am very happy funi corrected the initial episodes as well as the translation of the song. I had major computer problems and have fallen WAY behind, so I decided to give funi another chance and I am glad the subtitles have improved in qaulity. I know sankarea is a hit in japan so deen and others are probably dragging there feet on the simulcast and that is not really funi's fault. I would love to pick up this show as soon as it on bluray. I really do love the opening.
The episode 10 is out and they have switched somethings around, but that does not mean it is a bad thing. Having the Step-Mother come in and give this explaination now makes it more clear to what the hell happened, but letting the mystery continuemight have made this more interesting. All in all though episode 11 is gonna be good, I just wonder how they will fill in part of the plot they left out in some of the earlier episodes... oh well. :D
A cliffhanger at the end of the season 1, are they thinking that this series will continue to the next seasom? The series was going good until the last episode with the cliffhanger. If they would have work on it more without a cliffhanger, then it would be great series.
It seems like they were planning on making additional seasons if it sells well. Which I really hope it does. I really enjoyed Sankarea and would love to see more. I started reading the manga partway through the show and there's still a lot they could adapt, including

the introduction of a new important character (who seems to be a friendly antagonist), Chihiro's grandfather's past, and the scientific side of zombies, among other things).
Overall, I liked the series, but I would've preferred it to be slightly darker. I like horror-comedy, but it needed a little more horror than it had. I also kinda wished it had been paced more quickly. It takes too long for important things to happen. But I have the same complaint about the manga, so I can't fault the anime so much for that.
This is about where I assumed they would end, I mean if they followed the manga to a "T" anyway. But I expected them to explain it and not do this cliff hanger thing, where it kinda wraps up with

Rea somehow coming out of "the confused state" and leaving it in a way that they could continue with more seasons but if not it would have a satisfying conclusion. That for now things would be okay, but who knows in the future.
This will still be an anime I would enjoy dubbed and will pick up when available though. I just would have done things a little bit different and kept some of the more important things that they worked around in order, seemingly, avoid the more grim and dark aspects of the story.
Still its all good, here is hoping for a second season and maybe the OVA on Funimation site as well. Please?
The show info says there's 13 episodes, but I don't see Sankarea on the Simulcast list anymore. Is there another episode still coming, or is that 13th episode some kind of OVA?
No 720p on Episode 8?!?

Love it. Is there a plan to upload the OVA?
