Samurai 7 Series Discussion (Possible Spoilers)
Let's talk about these seven samurai who try to protect a village from a mechanical menace. This series is based on the Akira Kurosawa film.
I really loved this show, and it made me want to see the original film it's based on all the more (never have finished it though). The CG was pretty bad, but not so much so taht it broke the enjoyment of the show for me.

I agree that the CG wasn't the best thing that could have happened, but it wasn't terrible either.

This is one of my favorite Samurai animes, although I guess that is not fair since it is baaed on the greatest work of one of the greatest directors of all time. Kind of hard to go wrong there. The character development is phenomenal and the story stays strong throughout.
I agree. However, I felt somewhat disinterested because of the pacing of the story wasn't done in a way that would keep some people interested in the story. However, the story was a very interesting story even with the issue with the pacing.

There was an episode of Star Wars Clone Wars, that like Samurai 7 was inspired by Kurosawa's 7 Samurai, however, they had some of the sci-fi mech technology that really made me feel it was more of a homage to Samurai 7, than Seven Samurai. Did anyone else see that episode of the Clone Wars?

Are you referring to the currently iteration of Clone Wars or the original version done by Genndy Tartakovsky? I have not kept up with the currently 3D animation version but the old 2D animation version that ended in 2005 was pretty good, albeit I cannot remember it all.
EDIT: Looks like that episode you are referring to is in the current, 2008 to present series, and not the 2003 to 2005 series. Glad to see I have not forgotten as much as I thought.
