The Anime vs the Manga... questions

I recently got to experience the Anime on Netflix, and I was instantly hooked. I started trolling around the web attempting to get a fix on where i could get more. Unfortunatly as i bet every one is aware, there is currently no plans or ino for season 3. (sad face)
So there is a local store (as in 10miles away or so) and they sell specifically Anime and Manga / related collectibles and trinkets.
I am going there soon to see if I can pick up the Manga but every one on the forums talk about how different it is. I understand there was CAPU 2 before they made the second season of the manga so there are differences.

Basically my question is what are the major difference (as bare as you can get without spoilers PLEASE) because I dont want to purchase the manga and be all dissapointed and confused. And if it will make me not want to watch the show again. Thank you in advance smile

(AGAIN: please NOOOOO spoilers tongue)

From what I've heard, the manga has plot, whereas the the anime only has PLOT.

Well,
IMO the anime is mostly funny (cherry picked chapters) with excessive fan service.
The manga gets very dark, very quickly.

Re: The Anime vs the Manga... questions

The manga is less of a harem comedy and more of a shounen battle manga. The second half gets much darker than anything the anime ever did.

The manga also has a much better over-arching story and develops its characters more.

Ok, I like what I hear lol. The one thing i didnt like about the show is that the whole "Harem" concept and excessive fan service kind of got in the way of screen time. There was a underlying story to it i could tell, but it was smutherd but pantie shots and cleavage. Im not really a fan of that, i get thats how a lot of anime can be, but there is a degree and these guys crossed it lol
